Short Description of the Program

Students acquire skills in the design, construction, operation of buildings and structures of the gas and oil complex, inspection, assessment of technical condition, development of measures for their repair, reconstruction and reinforcement, rational design and reconstruction of existing, operation and maintenance.

Students learn to use normative literature, determine the technical condition of buildings, structures and building structures, perform calculations of new and reinforcing structures, develop projects of buildings, structures, make drawings in accordance with current regulations.

Considerable attention is paid to the use of BIM-technologies and the latest reinforced concrete structures in the design of buildings and structures.

According to the results of studies, students receive a master's degree; qualification: Master of Construction and Civil Engineering for “Design and construction of gas and oil production facilities”program.

• Graduates of the educational program “Design and construction of gas and oil production facilities” gain knowledge and skills necessary for the design and operation of housing and communal services, industrial facilities, including buildings and structures that are part of the gas and oil production complex. The university has a laboratory base for conducting practical classes in professional disciplines, conducting theoretical and practical research with the subsequent implementation of the results.

Possibilities for studying and training abroad

Students have the opportunity to study under Erasmus +, DAAD programs at the Technische Hochschule Lübeck - University of Applied Sciences (Lübeck, Germany).

There is a joint Master's program in Construction with Bialystok Polytechnic (Bialystok, Poland).

Undergraduates, in addition to the required disciplines in the specialty 192 “Construction and Civil Engineering” have opportunity to master the following specialized courses of the training cycle: Constructions of Special Purpose Buildings GNDC; Design of GNDC Objects; Reliability of Buildings and Structures of GNDC; Automated Design Systems for Metal Structures of GDNA; Computer Technologies in Design and Research of Buildings and Structures; Methods of Limit States and Load Rationing; Anticorrosive Protection of GNDC Designs; Design and Operation of Oil and Oil Products Warehouses; Fundamentals of Technology for Production, Preparation, Transportation and Storage of Oil and Gas; Technical Operation and Reinforcement of Metal Structures of GNDC; Constructions of Gas and Oil Pipelines and Gas and Oil Storages.

Positions that graduates can hold

The Master has training focused on research and teaching, but can also perform all the functions of a construction customer, designer and builder in organizations of various forms of ownership. Graduates of the educational program successfully work in the departments of architecture, construction, housing and communal services of executive committees of city, district and regional councils, administrations and local communities, can work in management companies and condominiums, civil engineering engineers (design and production management work, construction supervision, supervision of buildings operation).

Additional Information

Academic program “Design and construction of gas and oil production facilities” majoring in “Industrial and Civil Engineering” was first organized in Ukraine in 1996 (first issue in 2001).
