From January 11 to March 15, 2022, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the Ministry of Innovations, Science and Technologies of the State of Israel are announcing a competition for joint research projects for 2022-2023. Scientists from higher education institutions, research institutions and enterprises are invited to participate.
Projects are accepted in the following areas:
- applied mathematics (topological materials; applied mathematics in number theory; cryptography; computational mathematics);
- Jewish Heritage (Digital Humanities: Jewish-Ukrainian Heritage and History).
Supervisors and key project participants may submit several applications, but will not be able to receive funding for more than one project.
List of documents for registration of the offer:
- Cover letter: 1 copy, scanned copy is not allowed; on the form of the applicant institution should be: the name of the joint project, the priority area, the full name of the supervisor and the list of applications. It should be noted that research on the project is not funded from the state budget within other competitions. Candidates address the letter to the Deputy Minister of Education and Science for European Integration O. Shkuratov;
- Participant's application form: 2 copies, scanned copy of pages with signatures and a seal from the Israeli partner is allowed, from the Ukrainian side – the original; the form is filled out sequentially in Ukrainian and English in one file;
- Confirmation letter from the Israeli partner-project supervisor: 1 copy, scanned copy is allowed; on the form of the partner institution is text in any form, it is necessary to indicate the supervisors, as well as the name of the joint project. Candidates address the letter to the head of the applicant institution;
- Examination act for open publication of materials on the topic of the project: 1 copy, scanned copy is not allowed; the expert commission of the institution approves the conclusion, the materials of the project offer should not contain information prohibited for public disclosure, the text is in any form;
- CV of Ukrainian and Israeli research supervisors of the project: 1 copy each; CVs of each supervisor are provided in Ukrainian and English.
After preparing the documents, candidates fill out a Google questionnaire, to which they attach a completed application (.doc format). All paper materials must be in one signed folder, where it is necessary to indicate the name of the competition and the applicant institution, the topic of the project and the full name of the supervisor. Documents can be sent by e-mail or in person to the address: Ukraine, 01601, Kyiv, Taras Shevchenko boulevard, 16, Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
The winners are allocated funding for one year with the possibility of extension for the second. The decision on financing for the second year is made after considering the results of the first year of work. Information about the winners will be published on the website of the Ministry of Education and Science in the section "Results of competitions".
