National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” has opened the admission to the postgraduate programme for Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) (training at the expense of the state budget and at the expense of individuals/legal entities) for intramural and extramural forms of training in the following specialities:
- 015 “Vocational Education (by specialisation)”;
- 051 “Economics”;
- 073 “Management”;
- 076 “Entrepreneurship, Trade and Exchange Activities”;
- 133 “Industrial Engineering”;
- 172 “Electronic Communications and Radio Engineering”;
- 183 “Environmental Protection Technologies”;
- 185 “Oil and Gas Engineering and Technology”;
- 191 “Architecture and Town Planning”;
- 192 “Construction and Civil Engineering”.
Deadline for submitting documents for postgraduate studies:
- at the state budget expense – until February 25 2022;
- at the individual’s/legal entities’ expense – from August 19 to August 30 2022. The duration of postgraduate studies in both intramural and extramural forms of study is 4 years.
Postgraduate studies end with the defence of a dissertation and the awarding of the degree of Doctor of Philosophy.
Postgraduate students enjoy the rights of those receiving higher education as defined by the Law of Ukraine “On Higher Education”. In particular, postgraduate students have the right to:
- academic mobility, which is implemented in accordance with the Regulations on the Procedure for Exercising the Right to Academic Mobility;
- free access to all types of open scientific information available in higher education institutions (research institutions), libraries and state archives of Ukraine;
- receiving methodical and meaningful scientific advice on their research from a supervisor;
- safe and harmless conditions for conducting scientific research, provision of a properly equipped place for scientific work.
Postgraduate students have the right to participate in competitions for grant support for research and scholarships established in honour of prominent figures in science, education, culture, public figures, as well as established by the President of Ukraine, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, state or non-state bodies, enterprises, institutions or organisations.
Postgraduate students studying either intramural or extramural programmes are granted a deferral from conscription for military service for the entire period of study.
Foreign citizens are enrolled in postgraduate studies throughout the year.
Applicants for postgraduate study submit the following documents:
- application;
- a copy of the master’s/specialist’s degree (together with its appendix) indicating the speciality (qualification) obtained;
- personnel record sheet;
- list of published scientific papers and inventions. Applicants who do not have published scientific papers and inventions shall submit scientific reports (abstracts) on their chosen scientific speciality;
- 2 photographs of 3x4 cm in size.
The passport and the diploma of higher education are to be provided by the applicant personally.
Also, Poltava Polytechnic continues to accept documents for admission to doctoral studies for the degree of Doctor of Science (training at the expense of the state budget and at the expense of individuals/legal entities) in the following specialities:
- 051 “Economics”;
- 073 “Management”;
- 192 “Construction and Civil Engineering”.
Deadline for submitting documents for doctoral studies:
- at the state budget expense – until February 26 2022;
- at the individual’s/legal entities’ expense – from August 19 to August 30 2022.
The duration of doctoral studies is 2 years.

- a written description of the applicant’s scientific activity made by a Doctor of Science, who is a full-time scientific and pedagogical worker or a researcher of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”, with the consent to be a scientific adviser of the doctoral student in case of his/her admission to the doctoral programme;
- a personal personnel record sheet (with a 3×4 cm photo glued in);
- list of published scientific papers and inventions;
- a copy of the certificate of identification number assignment;
- a copy of the first page of the passport;
- 3x4 cm photo.
The passport and the diploma of higher education are to be provided by the applicant personally.
