“Recently, my academic mobility at the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava under the Erasmus+ credit academic mobility programme has come to an end, which has become a new and incredibly interesting experience for me. This period was filled with unforgettable events, challenges and opportunities.
It wasn’t easy, but that’s why I was able to reach a new level, gain a significant amount of new knowledge and skills that will be useful to me in the future. Every day brought new challenges, but they motivated me to work even harder. The university teachers were always ready to help and support me, which made the process of learning much easier. Thanks to their professionalism and friendly attitude, I learned to think critically, analyse complex problems and find effective solutions.
In addition to the usual lectures and seminars, I had the opportunity to participate in various laboratory, practical classes and excursions, which made the learning process even more interesting. For example, thanks to the efforts of our teachers, other students and I visited a residential building under construction, a model office built in accordance with the rules of sustainable development in architecture, and looked at Bratislava from the 27th floor of a modern business centre. Such field trips not only enriched our knowledge, but also gave us the opportunity to see the practical application of theoretical concepts. Laboratory work was particularly exciting, where we had the opportunity to work with the latest technologies and equipment, which gave us invaluable experience.
Thanks to the convenient study schedule of the university and the financial support of the Erasmus+ programme, I had the opportunity to travel. During this time, I managed to visit not only Slovakia, but also Austria, the Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary and Greece. Each trip was unique and unforgettable. Visiting different countries, I got to know their culture, history and traditions. This broadened my horizons and helped me to understand how diverse and interesting our world is. I especially remember my visits to Vienna, Prague and Budapest, where I had the opportunity to see world-famous architectural monuments and enjoy cultural events.
In addition to studying and travelling, I met many new people who became my friends. Thanks to the international environment of Erasmus+, I met students from all over the world. These acquaintances were extremely valuable, because each person brought something unique to our communication. We exchanged cultural experiences, talked about our interests and hobbies, and it helped us understand each other better. It was incredibly nice to have people with whom we studied, travelled and had fun. They became not only my friends, but also a kind of family abroad, and I am sure that our relationship will last for many years.
This period of my life was full of various events, experiences and discoveries. I am grateful for every opportunity that the Erasmus+ programme has given me, because it has allowed me not only to gain new knowledge and skills, but also to grow as a person. It was an incredible time, full of adventures, learning and new acquaintances, and I am sure that this experience will be an important foundation for my future achievements,” – said the programme participant Olha Monakhova.
