Coursera invites Ukrainian students to free online courses

Every student in Ukraine can get free access to "Coursera" courses – an online learning platform founded by Stanford University teachers. The Coursera team was the first to respond to the request of the Ministry of Education and Science and began cooperation in March: more than 6,500 courses from 400 specializations were opened for Ukrainian students in the programs of the best universities and companies in the world.

Already more than 20,000 students and teachers have already joined Coursera and are successfully mastering online courses from Google, Meta, IBM, Microsoft, Amazon Web Services, as well as such leading universities in the world as Yale University, California Institute of the Arts, Duke University, Erasmus University Rotterdam and others.

Many students study several courses at once. In total, Ukrainian students have already successfully completed more than 28,000 courses and received free certificates.

Those receiving professional and higher education in Ukraine and their teachers can get free access to the Coursera platform at this link. You only need to choose your institution and go to its program. For more detailed information on using the platform, you should contact the online education manager at your institution.

Registration for free courses is possible with the university's corporate e-mail or by invitation from the online education manager at your institution. Therefore, if there is no information about the student's institution on the specified link, it is necessary to contact the heads of the institution with a request for the registration of the responsible manager.

We will remind you that in March this year, the MES developed a procedure for recognizing learning outcomes using online education platforms, according to which each institution of professional or higher education determines the algorithm for enrolling in online courses. Educational institutions can and already successfully list the results of online courses.

For teachers, the platform will help supplement the main educational programs, and for students it will be an additional source of knowledge.

At the end of May, the Ministry of Education and Science and the Coursera team held a joint webinar for educational institutions about the unique possibilities of using educational online platforms. The recorded video can be viewed at the link.

It should be recalled that the UNI WORK company invites students and graduates for internships at the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
