On July 8-10, 2023, the Open Cup of the the Lviv region in billiards and the second stage of the Cup of Ukraine "GG Poker Open" took place in Lviv region. The competition was held by the Sports Billiards Federation of Ukraine and a separate subdivision of the federation in the Lviv region with the support of the Youth and Sports Department of the Lviv Regional Military Administration.
89 players from 19 regions of Ukraine competed for the championship in sports billiards. Dmytro Bilozerov, Master of Sports of International Class of Ukraine, two-time World Champion and multiple champion of Ukraine in billiards (free pyramid), who became a student of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports of National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic", won the competition.
The winner of the second stage of the "GGPoker Open" handed over the prize for the first place – 40,000 hryvnias for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Other participants of the competition, who won prizes, as well as the "Nesy Dobro" ("Carry Good") Charitable Fund (50,000 hryvnias) and the Lviv branch of the Sports Billiards Federation of Ukraine, which added another 22,000 hryvnias from its savings fund, joined in providing charitable assistance. The funds raised (151 thousand hryvnias) were used to purchase the Mavic DJI 3 FLY Combo quadcopter for scouts, which was presented with the code name "Bilaz" at the opening of the Team Championship of Ukraine. The winners of the tournament left their signatures on the drone.
The team championship of Ukraine in sports billiards also had a charitable purpose – 88,000 hryvnias were collected in the "B2B" billiard club on August 5-7. These funds will be used to purchase the next, already third drone DJI Mavic 3, for reconnaissance fighters of the 212th battalion of the 125th brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

It should be recalled that the student-athletes became multi-medalists at the 2023 World Para Swimming Championships.
