Entry-2024: college graduates have the opportunity to pass the Unified Professional Entrance Examination

Applicants for bachelor’s degree programmes on the basis of junior specialist’s, professional junior bachelor’s and junior bachelor’s degrees will have the opportunity to take the Unified Professional Entrance Examination (UPEE).

This year, applicants for bachelor’s degrees on the basis of junior specialist’s, professional junior bachelor’s and junior bachelor’s degrees will have the opportunity to take a unified professional entrance examination (UPEE) if willing. This was reported by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

This test is provided for applicants to a number of specialities (agricultural sciences, economics and management) who have (will receive) junior specialist, professional junior bachelor’s, junior bachelor’s degrees (National Qualification Framework5 (NQF5)).

According to the draft Procedure for Admission to Higher Education in 2024, applicants must also pass the National Multi-subject Test or have the results of the 2021 ZNO or NMT 2022-2023.

For such applicants who plan to continue their studies in the fields of knowledge 07 “Management and Administration”, 20 “Agricultural Sciences and Food”, 28 “Public Administration and Management”, specialities 028 “Management of Socio-Cultural Activities”, 051 “Economics”, the formula for calculating the competitive score will take into account the score of the UPEE in addition to the NMT score 一 if the applicant is registered to take it.

The entrance exams, which involve computer-based assessment of the applicant’s level of readiness to obtain a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Sciences, Economics and Management, will be conducted by the Ukrainian Center for Educational Quality Assessment. The Scientific and Methodological Centre for Higher and Specialist Pre-Higher Education will form the tasks of the entrance examinations.

Currently, a working group at the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine is working on draft programmes for the subject test in agricultural sciences together with the subject test in economics and management. They will be used to develop general characteristics of the tasks and assessment schemes.

The UPEE in Agricultural Sciences, Economics and Management will be held according to the calendar plan approved by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

In particular, the main registration period will last from 19 to 30 April, and the additional registration period for those participants who did not register during the main registration period will last from 10 to 14 June.

The main session of the UPEE for bachelor’s degree programmes will start on 24 June and last until 27 June. Participants of the main session of the UPEE will receive their results by 8 July. The additional session will be held from 16 to 19 July. The announcement of the results of the additional session of the UPEE for bachelor’s degree, i.e. the posting of the results of the entrance examinations in the electronic accounts of participants, will take place by 29 July.
