On March 16, 2022, a meeting of the Ministers of Education of the European Council was held to support Ukraine in the field of education and science. The Minister of National Education, Youth and Sports of the French Republic Jean-Michel Blanquer, who chairs the Council of Ministers, announced on Twitter that the decision was made as a result of this meeting. This was announced by Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Serhii Shkarlet.
Thus, the European Council of Ministers adopted a decision on the redistribution of EU funds for education:
- to support Ukrainian children in schools;
- to facilitate the admission to studies of pupils and students;
- to provide access to shared online resources for teachers;
- to provide permanent access to the Ukrainian education system and the study of the Ukrainian language, in particular through the All-Ukrainian online school;
- to restore the Ukrainian education system.
It should be recalled that the Minister of Education and Science Serhii Shkarlet recently held an online meeting with the Assistant Director-General of UNESCO for Education Stephania Giannini.
