Master’s student of Poltava Polytechnic competes at the World Rowing Championships

Student of Poltava Polytechnic Kateryna Petrenko competed as a member of the National Team of Ukraine at the ICF Dragon Boat World Championships. The team won the bronze medal and got a licence for the 2025 World Games to be held in China.

Master’s student of Poltava Polytechnic competes at the World Rowing Championships

From 31 October to 4 November 2024, the ICF Dragon Boat World Championships took place in Puerto Princesa (Philippines). A student of Group 601-mFS of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” Kateryna Petrenko became a member of the Ukrainian National Rowing Team.

The Ukrainian rowers showed impressive results: gold at the World Championships in the 500 metres mixed class, senior category, and bronze at the 200 metres in the women's class.

This sporting success once again testifies to the high level of our students’ training and the university’s pride in the talented and ambitious athletes who represent Ukraine on the world stage.

Earlier, the athletes of Poltava Polytechnic supported the Armed Forces of Ukraine at the Autumn Nordic Walking Festival, the team of Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports won the Commonwealth Cup in mini-football, and students of Poltava Polytechnic won the physical training race in memory of the fallen defenders.

It should be recalled that Poltava Polytechnic hosted the Ukrainian sitting volleyball championship and the All-Ukrainian festival among young football players.
