It has already become a good tradition at National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” to hold meetings dedicated to the International Women’s Day in early spring. This year was no exception. On 6 March 2025, a regular meeting of Euroclub “NEW STAR” was held. First and second year students of speciality 292 International Economic Relations of Poltava Polytechnic, coordinators and members of the club, as well as teachers of the Department of International Economic Relations and Tourism took an active part in it.
Under the supervision of Doctor of Philosophy, Associate Professor of the Department of International Economic Relations and Tourism Iryna Levchenko, students prepared reports on the origins and history of International Women’s Day, as well as the traditions of its celebration in different countries.
In particular, during the Euroclub meeting, a student of group 201-FM of the Educational and Research Institute of Finance, Economics, Management and Law Veronika Datseniuk presented a report on the history of the holiday, and students Oleh Kozak and Viktoriia Karalash told how this day is celebrated in Europe and Ukraine.
Each of the participants shared their own traditions of celebrating International Women’s Day. At the end of the event, the teachers of the Department of International Economic Relations and Tourism treated the participants to sweets.
It should be recalled that the all-Ukrainian online flash mob “We are the descendants of Kobzar” has started.
