POLTAVA POLYTECHNIC – PARTICIPANT OF THE INTERNATIONAL ERASMUS+ SPORT PROJECT: SUCCESSFUL LAUNCH OF AGEFORCE IN GREECE

Academic staff of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” joined the implementation of the large-scale international project ERASMUS-SPORT-2025-SCP AGEFORCE by participating in the kick-off meeting of project partners in Thessaloniki. This event became an important step in strengthening international cooperation and confirmed the status of Poltava Polytechnic as a beneficiary of a European project.

On January 28, the University representatives – Tetiana Synytsia, Associate Professor of the Department of Choreography and Dance Sports, PhD in Physical Education and Sports, and Yuliia Hunchenko, Senior Lecturer of the Department of General Linguistics and Foreign Languages – joined the first official meeting of AGEFORCE project partners titled “Empowering Older People for Collective Engagement.”

Together with colleagues from Greece, Germany, Serbia, and Portugal, the participants discussed the key objectives, tasks, and implementation strategy of the project. The kick-off meeting became both a symbolic and practical start of joint work: partners thoroughly reviewed all work packages, agreed on the roles of each organization, expected outcomes, timelines, and mechanisms for effective communication.

The AGEFORCE project is aimed at promoting active ageing, social interaction, and the engagement of older people in collective forms of physical and social activity, in line with modern European priorities in the fields of sport, education, and health.

Participation of Poltava Polytechnic in the ERASMUS+ SPORT project not only expands the horizons of international cooperation but also highlights the University’s proactive position in implementing innovative and socially significant initiatives aimed at improving quality of life and developing an inclusive European educational space.

National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” continuously expands its international cooperation by actively engaging in the implementation of European initiatives in the fields of education, sport, and social development. The participation of the University’s representatives in the kick-off meeting of the international ERASMUS+ SPORT AGEFORCE project demonstrates the institutional capacity of Poltava Polytechnic as a reliable partner and beneficiary of European Union projects aimed at introducing innovative approaches and addressing pressing societal challenges.
