On September 26–27, representatives of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” – Associate Professor of the Department of General Linguistics and Foreign Languages, PhD in Philology, Nataliia Bondar, and Senior Lecturer of the Department of General Linguistics and Foreign Languages, Yuliia Riznyk – took part in the XXXII Conference of the Association of Ukrainian Germanists “Ukraine and German-speaking Countries: Cultural, Literary and Linguistic Contacts”. This year the conference was hosted by Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University.

This event, which has already become a traditional intellectual center for researchers, lecturers, and practitioners united by the study of German language, literature, and culture, brought together representatives of numerous Ukrainian universities as well as international partner institutions.

Poltava Polytechnic has been consistently developing a comprehensive strategy of humanitarian education in recent years, where German studies occupy an important place as a platform for intercultural communication and a space for innovative practices. In the current context, when Ukraine is enduring the challenges of war, German-Ukrainian cultural and educational dialogue is of particular importance. It serves not only as a way of representing our culture in the global context but also as a tool for integration into the European intellectual space. It is especially rewarding that this year the University’s lecturers received certificates from the Association of Ukrainian Germanists (UDGV), which undoubtedly opens new horizons for academic dialogue.

A significant highlight of the conference was the presentation of the Goethe-Institut project “dll-Hochschulkooperationen”, which demonstrated the continuity and successful implementation of educational initiatives.

We express our sincere gratitude for belonging to the academic community of the Association and extend special thanks to Goethe-Institut Ukraine for their support and for opening a new promising page of cooperation.
