Poltava Polytechnic strengthens educational diplomacy

On June 25, while on an official visit to Warsaw, the delegation of the Union of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions of Ukraine, headed by the Rector of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv Volodymyr Buhrov and including Professor of Poltava Polytechnic Volodymyr Onyshchenko, met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine Vasyl Bodnar at the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Poland.

The key issues of educational support for Ukrainian citizens abroad were discussed during the productive dialog, in particular:

  • organization of distance learning for Ukrainian students temporarily residing abroad;
  • possibility of admission to Ukrainian universities for applicants residing outside Ukraine;
  • expanding cooperation between Ukrainian and Polish universities within the framework of educational alliances for the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine.

The participants of the meeting expressed their sincere gratitude to the Ambassador for his openness and constructive initiatives. They noted the significant potential for cooperation in these strategic areas, as Ukrainian universities should remain accessible and relevant to all Ukrainian citizens, regardless of their location.

The representatives of the delegation thanked Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Poland Vasyl Bodnar and the entire team of diplomats for their professional approach, support and active promotion of the development of Ukrainian-Polish educational cooperation.

Educational diplomacy plays a crucial role in ensuring the continuity of Ukrainian education in times of war and strengthening international academic ties. Such initiatives not only help to preserve educational opportunities for Ukrainian students abroad, but also create a solid foundation for the modernization of the national higher education system through international partnership.

It should be reminded that the Polish-Ukrainian Joint Day of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions of Ukraine took place in Warsaw.
