Poltava Polytechnic students are the winners of the International Student Research Paper Competition

Poltava Polytechnic students once again confirmed their high scientific level by winning top places at the International Student Research Paper Competition 2025.

On June 6, Ukraine hosted the International Student Research Paper Competition 2025 in selected specialties, which was participated by students from leading universities of 25 countries. The event was supported by the National Commission of Ukraine for UNESCO.

The International Student Research Paper Competition in selected specialties is aimed at strengthening the integration of Ukrainian higher education and science into the European space, intensifying international cooperation, encouraging students to innovate, mastering modern technologies, and creating favorable conditions for the development of intellectual potential of younger generation.

Representatives of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” demonstrated significant achievements in the “Ecology” section.

Danyl Yermolenko, a student of 301-NT group, received the second degree in the specialty 101 Ecology with the direction “Environmental Safety”. He was supervised by Candidate of Technical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Heat and Gas Supply, Ventilation and Thermal Power Engineering Yurii Holik. Danyl’s research was highly appreciated by the experts for its relevance, depth of analysis and practical application in the field of environmental safety.

Another achievement was the joint research paper in an international tandem, which brought a third degree diploma in Ecotechnology and Innovations in Environmental Management. It was prepared by Anna Ostapenko, a student of 201-CE group of Poltava Polytechnic, and Patryk Noha, a first-year student of State University of Applied Sciences in Krosno (Poland). Viktor Bredun, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Applied Ecology and Nature Management of Poltava Polytechnic, provided scientific guidance from the Ukrainian side, and Dr. hab Barbara Krochmał-Marczak, Department of Plant Production and Food Safety of State University of Applied Sciences in Krosno (Poland), provided scientific guidance from the Polish side.

The results of the competition demonstrate the high level of students’ training at National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” and the effective scientific cooperation between higher education institutions. We congratulate the participants and their supervisors on the international recognition and wish them further scientific achievements!

It should be recalled that Master’s students of Poltava Polytechnic won the national competition in Artificial Intelligence.
