Kyiv and Lviv conferences of the Newfolk NCC annually gather more than 250 delegates-representatives of more than 100 companies. These are the largest platforms in Ukraine, which cover the technological component of the development of the oil and gas industry and the Ukraine economy.
Each year, National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" presents its achievements at conferences, and the VI Kyiv Conference on Modern Methods of Drilling and Increasing Oil and Gas Production "Drilling. Intensification. Ecology and Labor Protection" was no exception. One of the largest industry events, during which industry professionals discuss topical issues of business development, was held as part of the VI International Specialized Exhibition "NaftogazExpo-2021". Experienced scientists and heads of leading Ukrainian higher education institutions shared their own papers in science; and industrial workers, leading specialists as well as heads of oil and gas along with oil and gas service companies presented business cases.
Significant achievements, successful cases of innovative development of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" and the most up-to-date educational programs were presented by the Rector of the University, Professor Volodymyr Onyshchenko.
"An important component of business development and ensuring the sustainable development of our country is quality education. Educators react sensitively to trends and update approaches as well as areas of preparing.
Today, one of the main world trends and an urgent task of the developed countries economy is becoming the solution of the transformation of the energy sector problem and "green transit", in particular, the issue of renewable energy sources efficient use.
National education and science play an important role in the National Renewable Energy Action Plan of Ukraine. Current trends in the development of energy in Ukraine necessitate the restructuring of the educational process, the introduction of new specialties, the development of educational programs and preparation of qualified professionals whose competences are focused on activities in the field of renewable energy.
National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic", as a state-of-the-art European-style university, successfully combining educational, scientific and innovative activities, provides its contribution to the formation of Ukraine's energy-efficient economy," – said Rector, Professor Volodymyr Onyshchenko.
The head of Poltava Polytechnic made a report "New system of educational programs on renewable energy is an important component of the development of economy of Ukraine", in which he talked about new areas of preparing the specialists in this field.
Scientists of Poltava Polytechnic in fruitful cooperation with stakeholders have created three present-day educational programs of bachelor's and master's degree:
- "Renewable electric power and power supply of electric transport" in the specialty 141 "Electric power, electrical engineering and electromechanics" (bachelor's degree);
- "Renewable heat and electric-power industry, alternative fuels and environmental protection" in specialty 183 "Technologies of environmental protection" (bachelor's degree);
- "Project management on energy and eco-efficiency and decarbonization" in the specialty 183 " Technologies of environmental protection" (master's degree).
"Looking to the future, focusing on the main aspects of the EU's "The European Green Deal" concept (2019) and the draft "Roadmap for the production and use of hydrogen in Ukraine" (2021), organic connection with stakeholders in creating an integrated educational and research space, our university introduces a system of innovations in the preparing the professionals in the field of renewable energy, being "on the crest of the innovation wave."
In July, during the XII Ukrainian Energy Forum, where renewable energy was one of the overarching themes, I received the support of the Chairman of the Board of NJSC "Naftogaz of Ukraine" Yurii Vitrenko on the issue of the development of new educational programs.
The new system of educational programs in the field of renewable energy, developed by Poltava Polytechnic, is a huge space for those who want to build smart energy, which expands the possibilities of using "green hydrogen" and reduces the negative impact on the environment.
Today, no one should be forcefully convinced that Poltava Polytechnic is a reliable partner that always performs its obligations. And the results of our work show that the university is ready to implement new large-scale projects in various areas of activities, including the field of renewable energy.
I invite you to cooperate, and I advise future entrants to choose the necessary subjects of the External Independent Evaluation (ZNO) in order to get the education of the future!" – commented Volodymyr Onyshchenko.
At the previous V Kyiv Conference, the Rector of Poltava Polytechnic presented successful projects with business and updates in the preparation of the oil and gas specialists.
