Cooperation between the Poltava Polytechnic and the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine has been going on for more than 15 years – this became a precedent personally initiated by the former President of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Borys Yevhenovych Paton. Two years ago, the rector of the university, Professor Volodymyr Onyshchenko, together with the President of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Anatolii Zahorodnyi, signed an additional agreement on educational and scientific-technical cooperation between the Poltava Polytechnic and the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

The university already has agreements with 16 scientific institutes of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and continues to dynamically expand the circle of strategic partners.

The leaders of a leading Ukrainian university and a state scientific institution signed a cooperation agreement and discussed the main priorities of the partnership: starting joint scientific projects, disseminating the results of scientific work in international specialized publications, increasing the positions of scientists in the scientometric database Scopus, improving educational programs and expanding opportunities for PhD students.

The working meeting was also attended by the Vice-Rector for Scientific and International Work of the Poltava Polytechnic, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Olena Stepova and top managers of the scientific institution – Oleksii Lebid, deputy director for scientific work, Oleh Kopiika, acting deputy director for scientific and innovative activities and Larysa Zotova, head of the department for the training of highly qualified scientific personnel. The scientists identified the key directions of joint work on the development of scientific and innovative potential.

“Together with the Director of the Institute of Telecommunications and Global Information Space of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Professor, Doctor of Technical Sciences Oleksandr Trofymchuk, we worked out a joint action plan to fill the partnership agreement's content with real practical cases from the first days of signing it.

An important part of our cooperation will be work with gifted youth with the aim of popularizing science under the auspices of the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine – we plan to involve scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in the jury of the All-Ukrainian competition of scientific research papers of students-members of the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in the Poltava territorial branch of the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine! I am convinced that the practical implementation of the signed agreement will contribute to the approach of Victory, because the scientific topics performed by this scientific institution are extremely relevant in the conditions of martial law! Science is stronger than war! We are working for Victory and training specialists for the post-war recovery of Ukraine as innovative leaders!” – commented the Rector of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”, Professor Volodymyr Onyshchenko.

It should be recalled that Poltava Polytechnic is a leader in the web space among Poltava higher education institutions, joined the Bologna hub and improves the quality of education with the support of European experts.

Recently, a workshop dedicated to the planning of the future regional youth hub was held at the Polytechnic, a meeting of youth leaders of the Poltava region took place at the Polytechnic, and the heads of youth councils of the Poltava region and active students received awards on the occasion of the International Youth Day.

Earlier, the rector congratulated the first-year students enrolled in the budget.
