The 3rd year students of the Tourism study programme Iryna Vodolaha and Bohdan Korsakas represented National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” with dignity. They became the winners of the International Student Startup Competition “TourSystemUkrChallenge”, which was held at the State University of Trade and Economics.
Our students received a third degree diploma, confirming their high level of training and creativity.

The competition was held to support talented students, create favourable conditions for their creative development, and stimulate research work of students in higher education institutions.
Participants had the opportunity to prepare start-up projects in the following areas: “Start-up. Tour”; “Start-up. Hospitality”; “Start-up. Restaurant”.
Under the scientific guidance of Associate Professors of the Department of International Economic Relations and Tourism Nadiia Bakalo and Viktoriia Makhovka, students developed a start-up project “Shpundra” within the framework of the Start-up. Tour programme. In this project, the young people offered a fascinating gastronomic tour of the Poltava region – a region with a rich culinary heritage and a unique atmosphere!

The proposed gastronomic tour concept is based on a combination of gastronomy, history and culture of the Poltava region. The idea is unique in that tourists not only taste traditional dishes such as shpundra, lemishka, verhuny and others, but also learn about their historical context. They take part in master classes on how to cook them and visit the historical places where they were traditionally prepared, namely Opishnia and Dykanka. This approach turns the tour into a deep cultural immersion that leaves vivid memories as well as a holistic view of the traditions, lifestyle and authenticity of the Poltava region.
We are sincerely proud of our students’ achievements! We wish them new victories, inspiration, realisation of creative ideas and confident professional growth!
Recently, Euroclub members of Poltava Polytechnic have been improving their skills in international negotiations on economic cooperation.
