The AGH University of Krakow (Stanisław Staszic University of Science and Technology) is opening recruitment for representatives of Poltava Polytechnic to participate in the PROM short-term international mobility programme (project funded by NAWA and the EU). The programme is designed for you to gain high-quality international experience, conduct scientific research, or participate in conferences in Krakow, strengthening our academic cooperation!

The partner of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” – AGH University of Krakow (AGH University of Science and Technology) – announces a competitive selection for participation in the PROM short-term international scholarship academic mobility programme (Short-Term Academic Exchange Programme)!

 

About the Programme and Funding

The “PROM” project is an international scholarship exchange programme for students, PhD students, doctoral candidates, and academic staff, which allows them to gain knowledge and skills in an international environment that participants can apply at various stages of their professional development. This programme also aims to help Polish universities and research institutions establish and strengthen cooperation with partner organisations abroad.

The “PROM” short-term academic exchange programme is funded by the European Union under the project “Short-term academic exchange as a means of improving the quality of education in higher education institutions and scientific institutions” (Project No. FERS.01.05-IP.08-0218/23), which is implemented by the International Affairs Centre in cooperation with the AGH Doctoral Students’ Council, ESN AGH, the AGH Student Council, and the AGH Council of Student Scientific Circles.

Implementation Period: October 1, 2025 – September 30, 2026.

Mobility Objectives:

  • participation in international conferences (including presentations and poster reports);
  • collection of materials for PhD/doctoral dissertations or scientific articles;
  • participation in summer or winter schools;
  • conducting measurements using unique research equipment or testing specialized scientific or artistic tools;
  • participation in short educational formats, such as courses (including intensive ones recognised within curricula), workshops, professional or industrial internships, and study visits, including those organised by enterprises;
  • teaching academic courses;
  • participation in the preparation of international grant proposals.

 

Total number of places offered to AGH partners – 40 mobilities, including:

  • 15 for students (Bachelor’s, Master’s);
  • 15 for PhD students and doctoral candidates;
  • 10 for staff (teaching and administrative personnel).

Duration of mobility: from 5 to 14 days (determined individually according to the purpose of the trip – study, conference, research).

Mobility period: depends on the candidate's individual plan; recruitment continues until June 2026.

Language of study/work: English (minimum B2), or another language if necessary for the training course/research.

 

Selection Criteria (scoring system, maximum 230 points)

1. Curriculum vitae: 0 – 25 points (students/PhD students); 0 – 30 points (staff).

2. Description of academic or research plans related to the trip: 0 – 30 points.

3. Description of qualifications and competencies to be acquired: 0 – 30 points.

4. Candidate’s academic achievements: 0 – 40 points.

5. Previous experience (research, participation in projects/conferences, cooperation with entrepreneurs, organizational activities): 0 – 20 points.

6. Academic/artistic/non-academic results: 0 – 10 points.

7. Foreign language proficiency: 0 – 5 points (students/PhD students).

8. Interview: 0 – 40 points.

 

Document Submission Requirements

To participate in the selection process, it is necessary to fill out the online form and send the following documents to the project supervisor (to kknap@agh.edu.pl):

  • Mandatory documents for all categories of participants (students, PhD students, staff):
  • Curriculum vitae (CV);
  • invitation from the host institution (AGH Community): confirmation of active participation in a conference, confirmation of enrollment in a course or other form of education, or confirmation of internship/research work (candidates for mobility should individually contact colleagues/lecturers/research supervisors from AGH directly to receive such an invitation);
  • a certificate confirming the status of a student/PhD student/doctoral candidate or a certificate from the HR department regarding employment (for staff).

 

Additional documents for students and PhD students

  • Recommendations (opinions) from a research supervisor or scientific advisor;
  • certificate of English language proficiency at a minimum level of B2.

Note: The Selection Committee will consider only complete sets of documents issued in accordance with the internal requirements of the university and the requirements of the PROM project.

After a positive evaluation of the submitted documentation, interviews with candidates will take place.

Students can study abroad through Erasmus+ credit-based academic mobility grants for a semester or a full academic year at leading universities in Austria, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Greenland, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, and the Czech Republic.
