Scientists in the Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Field Discuss Modern Technologies on a Conference

On November 19, National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” held the VI All-Ukrainian Internet Conference “Physical Rehabilitation and Health Saving Technology: Realia and Prospects” dedicated to the 90th anniversary of our university.

Scientists in the Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Field Discuss Modern Technologies on a Conference

Faculty of Sports of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” held a large-scale scientific event joined by the scientists of Ukrainian and foreign higher education institutions and scientific establishments. Due to the lockdown, the event was held online in Zoom and united the representatives of a few European countries in the discussion of current problems of physical rehabilitation.

Informative reports were presented by specialists and scientists from Belgium, France, the USA, Lithuania – Francisk Skorina Gomel State University, University of Strasbourg, University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences, and Šiauliai University.

The Ukrainian academic community was represented by various higher education institutions, scientific establishments and schools from different cities of Ukraine.

The participants were greeted by PhD in Pedagogy, Dean of Faculty of Sports of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” Nataliia Beseda and Doctor of Pedagogy, Professor, Professor of Department of Theory and Methodology of Physical Education, Kharkiv National Pedagogical University, Professor of the Academy of Physical Education and Sport (Gdansk, Poland), Chief Editor of Pedagogy of Physical Culture and Sport Serhii Yermakov.

“We are glad to greet the participants of the conference dedicated to the jubilee of Poltava Polytechnic. The conference has united the specialists of health saving and physiotherapy for six years in a row, and we have the chance to exchange the new achievements of national and foreign researchers and specialists. I hope that today’s conference will have a great contribution to the development of physical rehabilitation and physiotherapy, and promote the improvements in these services. May you have fruitful discussions and new achievements!” Nataliia Beseda said.

The participants of the event discussed the problems of innovative technologies in physiotherapy and ergotherapy, presented health-improving aspects of physical education, sports and recreation, and shared the newest experience of training the specialists in physiotherapy, modern health preservation technologies in education and the promotion of healthy life style.

The reports of the foreign specialists were especially interesting for the participants. Vibhor Agrawal, Ph.D., Associate Professor, University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences (USA) delivered a presentation titled «Development of an observational gait analysis App for clinical applications», and Daiva Alifanovienė, Dr. (Soc. scienc.), Assoc prof, Šiauliai University Institute of Education, Odeta Šapelytė, Mast. (Soc. scienc.), Lecturer Šiauliai University Institute of Educacion (Lithuania) presented a report titled “Analysis of stress coping of social protection specialists: reconstructing the context of Lithuania”. Other informative presentations were delivered by Halyna Traverse (Doctor of Medicine, Professor of Physiotherapy and Ergotherapy Department of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”), Oleksandr Beznosiuk (PhD in Pedagogy, Professor, Judge of International Category, Professor of Pedagogy and Psychology Department of Taras Shevchenko Kremenchuk Regional Humanitarian and Pedagogical Academy, Honorary Professor of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”), Oleksandr Siniakevych (National Trainer of Team of Ukraine in Billiards, Taras Shevchenko Kremenchuk Regional Humanitarian and Pedagogical Academy), Anatolii Rudych (Director of the 3rd City Clinical Hospital of Poltava City Council), Tamara Mysghina (PhD in Medicine, Teacher of Poltava Medical College), Lesia Klevaka (PhD in Pedagogy, Associate Professor of Psychology and Pedagogy Department of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”).

In conclusion, the participants of the conference were thankful to the organizers of the conference, the academic staff of Physiotherapy and Ergotherapy Department and Rector of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”, Professor Volodymyr Onyshchenko.

The results of the conference will be published as a collection of articles.
