Students and lecturers are invited to the All-Ukrainian Online Congress-2021 for Future Ecologists

On November 24, the All-Ukrainian Online Congress-2021 for Future Ecologists – Interaction Platform "Ecoprofessions of the Future – the Future of Ecoprofessions" will be held. Students as well as lecturers, who teach professional ecologists and eco-managers are invited to participate in the congress. The registration is required. An interactive studio will operate at Poltava Polytechnic.

The Professional Association of Ecologists of Ukraine together with the National Center for Sustainable Development within the UN Recovery and Peacebuilding Program, funded by the governments of Denmark, Switzerland and Sweden in 2020, launched the project Interaction Platform "Ecoprofessions of the Future – the Future of Ecoprofessions", aimed at raising awareness of future ecologists in the real expectations of employers, increasing public attention to the role of dual education, joining the efforts of educators and employers in preparing highly qualified professionals.

Students and their supervisors of all universities, who prepare bachelors and masters of environmental specialties are invited to participate in this year's online congress. Interactive inclusion of student studios from Kyiv, Lviv, Zhytomyr, Poltava, Dnipro, Kramatorsk and others is envisaged.

"The goals of the platform are to outline the key environmental issues that will be focused on for the next 20 years, to determine the basic requirements for preparation of professional ecologists, their level of knowledge, skills, competencies, including professions related to environmental protection, immersion in modern professional abilities and skills as well as requirements of employers; early professional guidance, popularization and involvement in professions related to eco-management, eco-safety, eco-engineering, environmental protection technologies, etc.; to attract the potential of talented youth to projects and programs of eco-transformation of the country. The goal of the platform is to educate new generation business youth who know the basics of nature management, preservation of ecosystems, care for the natural heritage and lead an active lifestyle," – say the organizers.

7 key topics have been identified:

1) Future nature management and nature conservation: Ukraine and the world;

2) Eco-specialists of the new generation and the development of the applied field of environmental protection;

3) Transformation of state policy in the ecosphere and environmental education;

4) Sustainable Development Strategy: a look into the future;

5) Management of professional development in environmental protection and marketing of eco-personality;

6) Involvement in the profession or how a student can start working and earn in the field of ecologization?

7) Digital transformation of environmental management
