Master’s students Pavlo Bilokin and Yehor Popov, under the supervision of Olena Haitan, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Computer and Information Technologies and Systems, achieved another victory at the prestigious global competition Intel® AI Global Impact Festival, winning in the Country/Region/Territory Award Winners category at the final stage. The team began its winning journey with successes at the university and national levels, taking 1st place in the START-UP Battle of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” and 1st place in the final competition “Project Pitching Day” within the EIT Deep Tech Talent Initiative program in May 2025.

The Intel® AI Global Impact Festival is an annual global event dedicated to innovations in the field of artificial intelligence. The event brings together students, educators, researchers, and developers from more than 25 countries worldwide who present projects demonstrating inventions and the positive impact of AI technologies on society, education, the environment, and the economy. Participants have the opportunity to present their own solutions developed using Intel® tools, receive expert evaluation from an international jury, and join the global community of innovators.

This year, the festival brought together 109 AI innovations from 32 countries at the global level, while more than 1,000 projects took part in national selections. Intel selected winners at the global level and by country/region/territory.

Pavlo Bilokin and Yehor Popov presented the project “Providnyk”. It is an artificial intelligence-based platform designed to support people with visual impairments. Its mission is to restore independence and mobility, reduce isolation, and ensure access to fundamental rights for people with disabilities. The project supports key Sustainable Development Goals, including health, equality, and inclusivity.

“Providnyk gives freedom, dignity, and a voice to those who live in darkness.

Intel sincerely congratulated the team on being recognized as winners in the Country/Region/Territory Award Winners category within the Intel® AI Global Impact Festival 2025 in the “18 years and older” category. According to the program manager of the Intel® AI Global Impact Festival 2025 team, “The project stood out for its creativity, significant impact, and technical excellence.”

“The team,” says the mentor of the winners Olena Haitan, “is constantly working and improving. After their first victory at the ‘Project Pitching Day’ competition, they won the Science2Business project by the KSE Foundation and represented the interests of the University’s researchers at the European exhibition gen.e in Athens (Greece). The victory in a global competition organized by the leading company Intel® became a logical continuation of their purposeful and successful work. The knowledge gained during studies at the university and the practical skills acquired through participation in projects have yielded excellent results.”

We congratulate Pavlo Bilokin and Yehor Popov on another brilliant victory and sincerely wish them further success in their professional careers and new achievements.
