Lübeck University of Applied Sciences (Technische Hochschule Lübeck – TH Lübeck) is a modern German higher education institution known for its focus on applied research and engineering disciplines. This opportunity is available to two Master's students studying in the relevant field who can confirm a high level of English proficiency. Details on the terms of participation, required documents, and financial requirements for obtaining a visa are below.
Program Details
Program: DAAD STIBET Credit-Based Academic Mobility (Financed by the German Federal Foreign Office).
Partner HEI: Lübeck University of Applied Sciences / Technische Hochschule Lübeck (Germany).
Semester of Study: 1st (Autumn) semester of the 2026/2027 academic year (Period: September 2026 – January 2027).
Number of Places: 1.
Level of Study: Master’s.
For Whom? Students of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Oil and Gas and Energy, and the Educational and Scientific Institute of Architecture, Civil Engineering, and Land Management.
Proposed educational program: Water Engineering Master's.
Scholarship (DAAD STIBET): €600 per month.
Important financial note: Candidates must provide supplementary financial proof for visa applications in accordance with German requirements (the total required amount confirming available funds is €992 per month).
Language Requirement: High level of English (minimum B2).
Application Deadline: May 08, 2026.

Procedure for Applying to the Erasmus+ Credit Mobility Program (For Students)
Step 1: Contacting the Issuing Department
The student contacts their issuing department to discuss the possibility of participating in the program.
The department compares the students’ academic disciplines in the Ukrainian educational program with those at Lübeck University of Applied Sciences for the 1st (Autumn) semester of the 2026/2027 academic year.
If the disciplines are agreed upon, the department prepares two official memorandums (per the mobility documents list). It notifies the Dean’s Office of the need to issue a transcript of records (academic performance statement).
Students for whom the department has not prepared two memorandums, and the Dean’s Office has not issued a transcript of records – i.e., students who lack supporting documents confirming the possibility of credit transfer – will not be admitted to the English language test.
Step 2: Preparation of Personal Documents
The student prepares the following documents:
- CV in English (PDF format with photo, max 2 pages);
- Motivation Letter in English (up to 1 page, PDF);
- Scanned copy of the passport (first spread, PDF);
- Passport-sized photo (.jpg);
- Certificate of English proficiency (if available).
Motivation letters are checked for plagiarism and AI usage. Submitting the same letter for multiple mobility programs is prohibited.
Documents not prepared in accordance with the requirements will not be accepted.
Step 3: Document Submission
The complete package of documents must be submitted simultaneously in electronic and hard copy formats via the issuing department to the International Relations Office (Room 213-C).

International academic mobility is an investment in the future! DAAD-funded programs are not only an opportunity to receive a scholarship but also a powerful tool for developing intercultural competence, improving problem-solving skills, and building a broader professional network. Participation in such programs demonstrates adaptability, focus, and readiness to work in a complex global environment to potential employers.
We recall that in 2019, Vladyslav Kucherenko, a graduate of Poltava Polytechnic with a degree in “Construction and Civil Engineering”, participated in the Erasmus+ Credit Mobility Program at Lübeck University of Applied Sciences. In 2024, Anna Kvasnevska, a student of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Architecture, Civil Engineering, and Land Management, participated in the “CHANGING CITIES LAB” Summer School on Urban Planning and Design, Urbanism, and Architecture, held at Lübeck University of Applied Sciences. Last year, Anton Filonenko, a student from group 201-BP majoring in “Construction and Civil Engineering”, spent the spring semester there under the Erasmus+ ICM Program.
Please note that lecturers of Poltava Polytechnic can participate in academic mobility and traineeship programs. Students can study abroad under Erasmus+ Credit Mobility grant programs for one semester or a full academic year at leading universities in Austria, Greenland, Denmark, Estonia, Spain, Lithuania, Latvia, Norway, the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Finland, and the Czech Republic.
