The Ministry develops a Procedure for recognizing learning outcomes obtained through non-formal and/or informal education

On March 16, 2022, the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine registered an order of the Ministry of Education and Science of February 8, 2022 No. 130 "On Approval of the Procedure for Recognition in Higher and Professional Higher Education of Learning Outcomes Obtained through Non-Formal and / or Informal Education".

The Ministry develops a Procedure for recognizing learning outcomes obtained through non-formal and/or informal education

The procedure determines:

  • the general requirements for recognition procedures in higher and professional higher education of learning outcomes obtained through non-formal or informal education;
  • the range of institutions and persons to whom this Procedure applies;
  • the list and sequence of recognition procedures;
  • the requirements to the Procedure for recognition of results of non-formal or informal training of an educational institution;
  • the procedure for submitting applications and identifying the results of non-formal or informal training;
  • the organization and conduct of evaluation procedures;
  • taking into account the results of recognition of the results of non-formal or informal training in the further educational process.

In accordance with this Procedure, in order to ensure the implementation of procedures for recognizing the results of informal and/or informal training, the educational institution develops its own recognition procedure and independently determines specific organizational and other aspects of recognition procedures, authorizes relevant departments, appoints authorized persons and determines the methods of evaluation. The format of assessment of those receiving education is also determined by the educational institution.

It should be recalled that during a meeting on March 16, 2022, the Government adopted a resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine "On the peculiarities of accreditation of educational programs for which students receiving higher education are trained under martial law."

The Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Serhii Shkarlet also informed that the work of EDEBO has been resumed in full.
