"The dynamic working week ended with the finissage of the exhibition! During September-October, in the Center for Contemporary Art of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic", masterpieces of the genius artist Mykola Pidhornyi were exhibited.

Connoisseurs of Ukrainian painting had the opportunity to enjoy the works of a talented painter. Portraits of Poltava artists, journalists, writers, poets, lecturers, scientists immortalized by the master, and unique images of historical figures – Petro Mohyla, Ivan Mazepa, Samiilo Velychko, Mykola Hohol, Taras Shevchenko, Ivan Pavlovskyi, Leonid Pozen – motivate everyone to think more deeply about the history of your native people and realize responsibility for their future.

I sincerely thank Mykola Vasylovych Pidhornyi for this unique journey through the art world – a genius artist, a real man, a true friend, and communication with whom inspires me personally to new creative ideas.

Observing the number of photos taken during the vernissage, knowing how many people managed to visit here, I can say one thing – the exhibition lived an active creative life!

Due to excessive workload, sometimes banal laziness, we do not have time to enjoy the talent of our contemporaries, go to the museum, feel the spirit that inspired artists to create their masterpieces. And here, within the precincts of the university, lecturers, students, Poltava residents could freely walk around the location, leisurely observe the paintings and analyze the author's idea.

In the leading classical university, which is positioned as a higher education institution of European level, spiritual values will certainly come first, and lecturers and students will be involved in the world of art.

This exhibition is only the first step towards the implementation of subsequent projects. It is difficult to overestimate the importance of stabilizing a person's inner world by contemplating works of art, so we already have a new idea, which you will definitely learn about later. Thank you, Mykola Vasylovych! Our reverence!" – thanked the rector of the university, Professor Volodymyr Onyshchenko.

Honored Artist of Ukraine, member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine Mykola Pidhorni noted and thanked for the high level of exhibition organization and expressed hope for further cooperation: "Communication, meetings with students are an additional incentive to paint and create an individual art world. I am glad that by my own works I inspire faith in you and give positive emotions!"

During the finissage, visitors shared their impressions of the presented works.

"I know the works of Mykola Pidhornyi, I am personally familiar with this talented personality, who continues in the Poltava region, the established for many years’ traditions of Miasoiedov, Yaroshenko and other glorious predecessors. In my opinion, Mykola Vasylovych, standing on the basic principles of creativity of these geniuses of his era, can safely be proud of his own artistic achievements. The paintings of the innovator and artist-philosopher Mykola Pidhornyi in many ways surpass the masterpieces of the above-mentioned masters of the brush. They make one think, fill the human essence with intellectual charge, positive vital energy. I wish you new achievements, and we are looking forward to new masterpieces!" – commented one of the visitors of the exhibition, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Building Structures, Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine Serhii Pichuhin.

And in memory of this extraordinary event, the artist was given a symbolic gift: all participants of the finissage – scientific and pedagogical staff as well as students signed a poster to the author as an expression of justified expectations and hopes for new meetings and professional communication.
