Ukrainians are to watch a series of online lectures about the cultural elite

The project involves a series of open, free online lectures dedicated to key personalities of Ukrainian history and culture. Employees of the Museum of Prominent Figures of Ukrainian Culture will tell how Ukrainian poets, musicians, writers, publicists, translators, actors and playwrights fought for the Ukrainian nation through the means of culture.

According to Executive Director of Cultural Project NGO Tetiana Dubich Ukraine's independence was costly.

"Any claims that Ukraine received its independence as a gift of fate are entirely baseless. Generations of talented people, in love with Ukrainian folklore, history, language, and traditions of the people, have laid down their lives so that ordinary Ukrainians understood the value of their own state and were ready to defend its sovereignty," – emphasized Tetiana Dubich.

The first open lecture "Mykhailo Drahomanov – the greatest Ukrainian intellectual of the 19th century" will be held online on the Zoom platform on February 22, 2023 at 6:00 p.m.

The lecture will be held by director of the Museum of Prominent Figures of Ukrainian Culture Olha Hural.
