Vice-Rector of Poltava Polytechnic Takes Part in the Inauguration of the New Academic Year at Bialystok University of Technology (Republic of Poland)

Vice-Rector for Scientific and International Work Olena Stepova represented National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” at the official inauguration ceremony of the new academic year at Bialystok University of Technology. The researcher’s working visit became an important opportunity to strengthen the partnership between the universities and expand international educational opportunities for students and scholars of Poltava Polytechnic.

National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” confidently expands its international cooperation, forming a powerful network of educational and scientific partnerships with European universities.

On October 2, 2025, at the invitation of the Rector of Bialystok University of Technology, Professor Marta Kosior-Kazberuk, Vice-Rector for Scientific and International Work, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Olena Stepova paid a working visit to the university and took part in the inauguration ceremony of the 2025/2026 academic year.

The visit continued the fruitful long-term cooperation initiated by the President of Poltava Polytechnic, Honorary Professor of Bialystok University of Technology Volodymyr Onyshchenko.

During the meeting with Professor Dorota Anna Krawczyk, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation of Bialystok University of Technology, the parties discussed the results of implemented joint projects and the next stages of their realization.

As part of the visit, Olena Stepova also met with Grazyna Jakimiuk, representative of the Department of Mobility and International Agreements of Bialystok University of Technology. The discussions focused on expanding academic mobility programs, participation in international grants and initiatives, and organizing joint scientific events.

One of the key agreements was the organization of the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Youth Science: Innovations and Global Challenges”, which will take place in November 2025 at Poltava Polytechnic to mark the World Science Day for Peace and Development. The event is designed to become a platform for young researchers from various countries to exchange experience, ideas, and innovative approaches in scientific research.

The systematic cooperation between the two universities serves as an example of effective international partnership that strengthens the educational process, develops science, and contributes to the integration of Ukrainian higher education into the European academic space. Expanding cooperation with European universities remains one of the strategic priorities of Poltava Polytechnic in enhancing its international image.
