Without examination and payment: the Government makes a decision on the accreditation of the professional education EPP under martial law

On March 21, 2022, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted a Resolution “Some issues of accreditation of educational and professional programs of professional education under martial law”.

In accordance with the document, the Government decided:

  • The State Service of Educational Quality is temporarily allowed to make decisions on conditional accreditation of educational and professional programs of professional education, accreditation of which was envisaged in February-July 2022, at the request of the educational institution without accreditation examination and without payment;
  • Re-issuance of accreditation certificates of specialties (educational and professional programs) at the educational and qualification level of junior specialist for certificates of accreditation of educational and professional programs in the field of professional education is to continue in the prescribed manner with deferment of payment for up to three months from the date of termination or abolition of martial law.

It should be recalled that the heads of professional and higher education institutions are allowed to independently determine the forms of students’ attestation in 2022, and the Ministry of Education and Science has developed a Procedure for recognizing learning outcomes obtained through non-formal and/or informal education in the formal education system.
