The main tasks of the Center:
- Increasing the level of gender literacy of teaching staff of Poltava Region; creation of a modern educational environment for further professional development and self-realization of participants in the educational process, in which conditions are created for the realization of equal rights and opportunities regardless of gender and other characteristics in accordance with the Law of Ukraine "On Principles of Prevention and Counteraction of Discrimination in Ukraine"; organization and holding of events for first aid and fire training for teaching staff;
- Overcoming gender stereotypes in children and adolescents regarding the choice of a future profession;
- Organization and conduct of training for students of higher education of the National University "Poltava Polytechnic named after Yury Kondratyuk" on pre-medical assistance and fire training;
- The creation of a "Sports Development Center" to distract children and youth from the stress caused by the war, provide them with practical and sports skills, increase the level of popularization of sports and a healthy lifestyle, as well as the creation of a gym to provide opportunities for physical development and rehabilitation of defenders of Ukraine , if necessary, who suffered as a result of hostilities (if funding is available);
- Providing an opportunity for adaptation and professional, as well as creative realization of defenders of Ukraine who returned from the war zone, internally displaced persons.
The initiator of the creation of the Gender Center of the National University "Poltava Polytechnic named after Yury Kondratyuk" is the National University "Poltava Polytechnic named after Yury Kondratyuk" together with the territorial administration of the Court Protection Service in the Poltava region and the Ukrainian Association of Law Enforcement Representatives.
On May 8, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., a working meeting of representatives of the gender center of the university with employees of the Department of Social Protection of the Population of Poltava Oblast will be held as part of the implementation of the State Strategy for Ensuring Equal Rights and Opportunities of Women and Men for the period until 2030 and the approval of the operational plan for its implementation in 2022 -2024 on the topic: "Implementation of the State Strategy for Ensuring Equal Rights and Opportunities for Women and Men for the Period Until 2030" and with the aim of expanding cooperation.
The working meeting will be held on the basis of the Yuriy Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic National University.
