Brief description of the program

Higher education in the field of knowledge 18 Production and Technology in the specialty 184 Mining, educational program "Drilling of oil and gas wells". The emphasis is placed on the formation and development of professional competencies in the field of mining with a specialization in oil and gas well drilling, namely the latest drilling fluids; modern drilling equipment; directional and cluster drilling in difficult geological and technical conditions; modern technologies for eliminating complications and accidents during well drilling; methods of managing oil and gas well construction projects (supervision during drilling); methods of geophysical surveys and telemetry and related software; repair work during the operation of oil and gas wells.

Advantages of the program

• Availability of specialized laboratories for drilling fluids, a simulator and software for simulating and studying drilling processes, including simulation of emergency situations that may occur during oil and gas drilling, certified according to IWCF standards, which makes it possible to increase one's competitiveness in the labor market;
• Involvement of foreign and domestic industry experts in the educational process.
• Opportunity to conduct scientific research, including laboratory research, writing scientific and qualification papers, on-the-job training at oil and gas companies in the region.
• The location of the educational institution in the Eastern oil and gas region of Ukraine, which allows to effectively use the best practices of oil and gas companies in the educational process.
• The possibility for students to choose an individual educational trajectory.
• The educational program is based on the experience of domestic and foreign educational programs, namely: National Technical University "Prydniprovska Polytechnic", Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas, and Stanisław Staszyc Mining and Metallurgical Academy (Poland, Krakow).
• The uniqueness of the program and its difference from similar programs is to develop the ability to design and manage well construction processes in difficult geological and technical conditions and their repair processes during operation, using the best practices of oil and gas companies in the region.

A trained master according to SC 003-2010 is able to perform professional work. In particular, managers (executives) in the mining industry, code KP 142; Managers (executives) in the field of research and development, code KP 1474; Professionals in the field of mining and metallurgy, code KP 2147, Researchers (mining, metallurgy), code KP 2147.1, Mining and metallurgical engineers, code KP 2147.2. Subject to the acquisition of work experience and passing examinations to confirm the availability of the appropriate amount of professional knowledge, skills and abilities, he/she can work in the position: Lecturer of higher education institutions, KP code 2310; Assistant, lecturer of a higher education institution, KP code 2310.2
