On October 1, at the Center of Culture and Student Creativity of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” a professional holiday – the Day of Education of Ukraine was celebrated. During the celebration 11 scientific and pedagogical workers of the university were presented the decorations of Poltava Regional State Administration, Poltava Regional Council and the Department of Education and Science of Poltava Regional State Administration for significant personal achievements in the field of higher education, high professionalism and perseverance.
“It is impossible to imagine the development of modern society without the continuous development of education, so today we congratulate and honor the work of those who teach, educate our youth, and work conscientiously for a better future for our country.
First of all, I would like to wish each of you gratitude from students, graduates, parents who give us their dearest – their own children. Listening to the speeches of my predecessors, I thought that behind the high potential, prestigious ratings and achievements, is the daily work of lecturers and scientists of the university. Thank you for the way you care about the problems of higher education, dedication and love for your chosen profession! I am sure that new achievements, victories and European recognition are ahead. I want to end the speech with these words, paraphrasing a well-known saying – despite the difficulties, problems and troubles, let’s stay human! Happy holiday!” – congratulated the scientific and pedagogical community of Poltava Polytechnic head of the Commission on Education, Science and Culture of Poltava Regional Council, Oleh Didenko.

High departmental decorations were given to the team of co-developers of the project of a modern innovative location “DTEK Alley”, who made a personal contribution to the design of modern infrastructure of the university campus.

They are Candidate of Chemical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Chemistry and Physics Liudmyla Davydenko; Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor, Scientific Secretary of the Secretariat of the Academic Council of the University Iryna Pinchuk; Head of the Cycle Commission, Head of the Primary Trade Union of the separate structural subdivision “Myrhorod Vocational College named after Mykola Gogol” of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” Alla Bohomaz; Deputy Director for Academic Affairs of the separate structural subdivision “Myrhorod Vocational College named after Mykola Gogol” of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” Olesia Taranenko; Head of the Technical Department of the separate structural subdivision “Myrhorod Vocational College named after Mykola Gogol” of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” Liudmyla Khalitova; and Head of the Cycle Commission of the separate structural subdivision “Myrhorod Vocational College named after Mykola Gogol” of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” Halyna Lupashko.
At the end of the festivity, the rector of the University awarded with Citations all Educational and Research Institutes and Faculties of Poltava Polytechnic. This year the top three included:
- Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports (I place);
- Educational and Research Institute of Finance, Economics, Management and Law (II place);
- Educational and Research Institute of Oil and Gas (III place).
Choreographic gift was performed by students of Poltava Polytechnic – participants of the Folk Amateur Studio of Sports and Ballroom Dance of the University (Oleksa Shchur-Dunets (201-B), Omelian Shchur-Dunets (102-B) – students of the Educational and Research Institute of Architecture, Construction and Land Management, Anastasyia Melkumian (101-EM), Anna Khoroshun (201-P) – students of the Educational and Research Institute of Finance, Economics, Management and Law; Andrii Kramnov (101-TT); Anastasiia Taran (201-FS) – students of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports). The legendary Poltava band “Krayany” greeted the scientific and pedagogical staff of the university with famous pop hits. At the end of the festivities, the participants took photographs near the festive photo area, exchanged impressions and talked in a warm, friendly atmosphere.
It should be recalled that on the occasion of the professional holiday 20 university and college lecturers were awarded by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Polytechnic scientists will receive lifelong scholarships from the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine for outstanding services in higher education, Vice-Rector for Scientific Work and International Affairs Svitlana Sivitska was awarded by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for merits to the Ukrainian people, and the President of Ukraine awarded the Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work and Economic Development an honorary title.
