The National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” solemnly awarded academic workers who made a significant personal contribution to the education of the future scientific elite of the Poltava region. 34 scientists of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” were awarded Citations from the President of the branch for their fruitful work with the students-members of the Poltava territorial branch of the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
“Talking with gifted schoolchildren of the Poltava region, I noted that young people consciously and enthusiastically go to intellectual competitions.
It is pleasant to note the fact that this year at the II (regional) stage of the All-Ukrainian competition-defence of research papers of students-members of the Poltava territorial branch of the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in 2022/2023 academic year 523 young scientists presented their reports. The most numerous fields were mathematics (39 participants), technical sciences (33), chemistry and biology (54), ecology (46), philosophy, social sciences (69), history (51), literary studies, art studies (94), linguistics (49), and in general, the participants of all sections presented a wide range of scientific research.
The large number of winners of the regional stage of the contest-defence of scientific research papers of students-members of the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, who will represent our region at the all-Ukrainian level, testifies to the effective cooperation of the Poltava Polytechnic with the National Centre “Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine” and the colossal support of our university personally by the President of the Junior Academy of Sciences, academician Stanislav Oleksiiovych Dovhyi.
The successful implementation of the second stage was the result of the combined efforts of many academic workers of all Poltava higher education institutions, who are not indifferent to the development and popularization of science classes among young students.
National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” took an active part in organizing and ensuring the work of the jury, creating comfortable conditions for the work of colleagues from other universities.
At the same time, a large number of highly qualified scientific and pedagogical workers and employees of the Poltava Polytechnic participated in the evaluation of student scientific papers.
Therefore, as the President of the Poltava territorial branch of the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, I praised all the teachers who worked as jury members and secretaries of sections, conscientiously performed their work and carefully evaluated the achievements of our young scientific talents. The pandemic, martial law, compliance with the necessary safety conditions during the work of the jury constantly made their corrections. You coped with everything perfectly; you came out of a difficult situation with honour, objectively evaluating the efforts made and the level of research presented.
I express my sincere gratitude to every scientist of the Poltava Polytechnic for the significant personal contribution you make, working in difficult conditions, advising young people and their mentors, motivating them to conquer new intellectual heights. I am glad that for the last 5 years in a row, the university, which proudly bears the status of classical, has taken under its auspices even more young talents.
I support the opinion of the scientific and pedagogical staff of the university, who expressed the hope that next year the cooperation with the Municipal Institution “Poltava Regional Junior Academy of Sciences for Pupils and Youth” will change its format, motivating an even greater number of schoolchildren to actively engage in scientific and technical creativity.
We are raising a new powerful generation of Ukrainian intellectuals, ready to work for the restoration and post-war reconstruction of our young European state!” – emphasized the President of the Poltava Territorial Branch of the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Rector of the Poltava Polytechnic, Professor Volodymyr Onyshchenko.
