Within the framework of the signed agreements on scientific and educational cooperation between National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" and the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, the academic mobility program for students of the Educational and Research Institute of Geology of the partner university has been implemented for many years.
On June 8, 2023, a group of student geologists of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, headed by Doctor of Geological Sciences, Professor of the Department of Oil and Gas Geology Viktor Nesterovskyi, visited the laboratories of the Educational and Research Institute of Oil and Gas of the Poltava Polytechnic as part of a familiarization practice. During their stay at the university, the student youth of the capital's partner university familiarized themselves with the exhibits of the Nadiia Kocherha National Museum of History of the University, where they immersed themselves in the atmosphere of the former Institute of Noble Girls. The young people learned a lot of interesting facts about the life of the world-famous Poltava scientist and inventor whose dreams of space exploration and flying to the moon came true – Yurii Kondratiuk, and even took memorable photos in front of the clock that counted the minutes and hours in the house of a prominent Poltava resident.
Further, as part of the working visit, the future professionals in the field of geology visited the Wellsite Digital Training Center for training and certification of drilling specialists, visited the laboratory of drilling fluids and drilling muds, as well as the laboratories of 3D modeling and 3D design in the oil and gas industry and 3D visualization and oil and gas engineering.
The students of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv were especially interested in the modernized Educational and Scientific Oil and Gas Training Ground of the Poltava Polytechnic and familiarization with the charitable art project of the American-Ukrainian artist and geologist, Director of Exploration and Production of the Naftogaz Group Max Vityk "History of Planet Earth". According to the students, it is extremely interesting to explore the geological epochs of our planet’s development, immersing oneself in the artistic atmosphere and combining the acquired knowledge with one's own aesthetic sensations.
As part of an intense two-day program, students of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv visited the geological museum of the Poltava College of Oil and Gas of the Poltava Polytechnic, where they got acquainted with the expositions of unique minerals and fossils.

While getting acquainted with the university, the Student Hub hosted a meeting of geology students from National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" and the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, where they had the opportunity to communicate, exchange useful practical cases and tell each other about their home institutions of higher education.
It should be noted that the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" in cooperation with partner universities is constantly developing and improving programs of internal and international academic mobility for students.
Earlier, future specialists got acquainted with the activities of archival institutions by visiting key locations of the State Archive of the Poltava region, university students mastered effective cases of modern business, lyceum students visited the university museum and were inspired by the atmosphere of the former Institute of Noble Girls.
