Poltava Polytechnic’s partner, NEWTON University (Czech Republic), welcomes students to apply for the Erasmus+ KA171 credit mobility grant program for the second (spring) semester of the 2024/2025 academic year.

For whom:
This opportunity is available to adult students who, at the start of the mobility program (February 2025), will be enrolled in the 2nd to 5th year of study at the Educational and Research Institute of Finance, Economics, Management, and Law, possess a valid passport, demonstrate high academic performance, have no outstanding academic debts or retakes of exams/credits, and have proficiency in English or Czech at the B2/C1 level.

English/Czech Language Proficiency Test: - October 30, 2024, 12:50 PM, rooms 318C and 325C (in case of an air raid alert, the test will be conducted in the shelter of Building A).
Information for Students
Students who wish to participate in the program and meet the requirements outlined below can submit their applications to the International Relations Department of Poltava Polytechnic.
Important! Candidates who wish to participate in the program must successfully pass a test and an interview in English.
According to the requirements of the Erasmus+ program and the agreement between the universities, when selecting candidates, in case of equal academic performance and English proficiency, preference will be given to students from low-income families; students with young children; students with physical disabilities; students who have been adopted; students with chronic illnesses or other health-related special needs.
The selection of candidates will also consider any social, volunteer, educational, or scientific initiatives, programs, or projects the candidate has participated in.
What documents are required to apply for?
- Two official memos from the graduating department
- An academic transcript from the department/dean’s office
- A scanned copy of the international passport (first page)
- CV in English (PDF format with a photo, no more than 2 pages)
- A motivational letter in English (up to 1 page)
- Passport-size photo (.jpg)
- Certificate of foreign language proficiency (if available)
NB! The student submits these documents as a complete package to the International Relations Department via their graduating department in both printed and electronic formats.
Important! The NEWTON University does not have its own dormitories. However, the International Office of NEWTON University, in cooperation with the NEWTON University Club, helps Erasmus students find housing for rent. The average cost for a bed or a single room varies from 350 to 650 euros. Additionally, a deposit for the accommodation will need to be paid upon arrival, which will be refunded to students after they vacate the accommodation, provided that no damage was caused. The average deposit cost in the Czech Republic is 500-600 EUR (one-time).
