In accordance with the Agreement between the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China on Cooperation in Education, the Government of the People’s Republic of China provides 95 state scholarships for Ukrainian citizens to study in the academic year 2025/2026 at the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral levels and for a one-year language internship.
The Ministry is accepting applications for state scholarships of the Government of the People’s Republic of China until 27 January 2025.
How to apply
A candidate for a state scholarship of the Government of the People’s Republic of China must register on the website of the Chinese Scholarship Council www.campuschina.org and create a personal account.
All necessary documents must be filled in online in your personal account.
The candidate must apply in advance to the Chinese university (to which they plan to enter) and receive a confirmation letter from the university about their decision to accept the candidate for study.
Requirements for candidates and necessary instructions are attached.
The application is submitted to the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine in electronic and paper formats (documents are sent in both formats).
In electronic format, scanned documents (PDF format) are sent to the following address: olha.kotova@mon.gov.ua. Please indicate “Scholarships to study in China 2025” in the subject line.
Paper documents are accepted at the following address: 10 Beresteyskyi Ave., 01135, Kyiv, Ukraine, Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Directorate of International Cooperation with a note on the envelope: “Scholarships to study in China 2025”.
They can be submitted in two ways:
- sent by post, indicating on the envelope the recipient “Kotova O.H. Directorate for International Cooperation”;
- handed in person against the personal signature of the contact person, indicating the date and time of receipt.
All paper documents must be collected in 2 folders (1st folder – original documents, 2nd folder – copy of the 1st folder) in accordance with the sequence and numbering specified in the instructions.
Only those applications that are completed in accordance with the above requirements and submitted on time will be considered.

In connection with the military aggression of the russian federation against Ukraine, the legal regime of martial law was introduced in Ukraine by the Decree of the President of Ukraine No. 64 of 24 February 2022 (as amended).
In order to regulate the issues of crossing the state border by Ukrainian citizens under the legal regime of martial law in Ukraine, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine amended the Rules for Crossing the State Border by Citizens of Ukraine, approved by Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 57 of 27.01.1995. Pursuant to paragraph 26 of the aforementioned Rules, the departure from Ukraine of students of professional pre-higher and higher education, assistant trainees, postgraduate students and doctoral students of military age studying full-time or dual forms of education is temporarily restricted during the martial law. The official website of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine at http://surl.li/cnrqv contains general questions and answers regarding travelling abroad during the period of martial law.
