Architecture Students Become Finalists Of Inspireli Awards

On July, 31, the finalists of the INSPIRELI AWARDS international student competition were announced. The project of the students of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” is among the finalists in Architecture.

Architecture Students Become Finalists Of Inspireli Awards

INSPIRELI AWARDS is a large international student competition in architecture, urban and landscape design, as well as in interior design. It brings together talented architecture students and famous professionals and provides them a space for cooperation with a big audience.

The Theatre Populaire Idea(l) is an open student competition of architectural, artistic and design ideas for the sustainable rehabilitation of a deserted green amphitheatre at the complex of the “Centre de Développement Chorégraphique” La Termitiere in the city centre of Ouagadougou, in Burkina Faso. The emphasis is placed on innovative, respectful, courageous visions valorising the local potentials and materials.

There were 281 projects from 451 participants from 38 countries submitted to the contest. The participants competed in such categories as Architecture, Urban Design, Interior Design.

The finalists in Architecture were represented by their earlier successful works. The students of the Education and Research Institute of Architecture and Construction of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” will compete in the final stage. The winner team of Steel Freedom 2019, whose project of a social office with a public parlor of the mayor won in Mariupol, included Stanislav Zosim (the team leader, main concept designer), Anna Bondar (the organizer of the general design, facilities, and drawings), Oleksandr Slobodianyk (the interior designer and visualizer), Anzhelika Tryhub (the author of drawings and illustrations, technical documentation and presentation video), Taiisiia Chesnokova (interior visual designer, presentation designer).

The team mentor was the PhD in Architecture, Associate Professor of the Department of Architecture and Town Planning of Education and Research Institute of Architecture and Construction Taras Rudenko.

“It is a really successful project which became the best in various nominations at different contests, so we don’t stop and keep taking part in other architectural competitions,” Taras Rudenko commented.

The presented project will compete in two categories at the same time, in the Architecture category and in the competition for rehabilitating the amphitheatre in Burkina Faso.

The winners of the competition will receive 2,000 Euros for the 1st place, 1,500 Euros for the 2nd place, and 1,000 Euros for the 3rd place.

The winners will be announced on October, 8, 2020. In each category, the winners will be awarded the full ArchiCAD software from Inspireli and a LEGO-model of their design created with LEGO Architecture. When the project will be brought to life, the author’s name will be mentioned on the amphitheatre building.
