In the center of popularizing contemporary art – the Center for Contemporary Art of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” started an exhibition of student creative works “Feelings Extravaganza”. Along with the works of first to fourth academic year students of “Fine Arts, Decorative Arts, Restoration” specialty there are exhibited paintings by Head of the Department of Oil and Gas Engineering and Technology of Poltava Polytechnic, Professor Branimir Tsvetkovich, who brilliantly combines his technical specialization, scientific and educational activities with a creative hobby – painting.

“Traditionally, the Center for Contemporary Art of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” is becoming a powerful large-scale platform for establishing dialogue with the world of beauty, the world of art. Our meeting today is especially exciting. The hearts of the audience are filled with pride that we have a unique opportunity to immerse ourselves in the world of artistic masterpieces of young authors who are still learning to be professional artists, but their works are full of special philosophical sentiments. In my opinion, the unique moments of waiting before getting acquainted with the visual arts set the viewer to a subtle perception of beauty, acting as a kind of invisible portal that transfers from the world of everyday life to the world of pleasant emotions, deep feelings, what we used to call New Year’s miracle.

The value of today’s exhibition is that together with bachelor students majoring in art, there are also exhibited paintings by the first in Ukraine foreign professor, Head of the Department of Oil and Gas Engineering and Technology Branimir Tsvetkovich, who willingly shares with modern youth the secrets of his own art. We are proud of the achievements of our young talents. We are glad that our joint efforts with the personal assistance of the rector of the Polytechnic, Professor Volodymyr Onyshchenko to create such a cultural and artistic center were crowned with great success! And meetings with the beauty has become another good tradition of Poltava Polytechnic!” – commented a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, International Association of Critics and Art Critics in Paris AICA, Candidate of Art History, Head of the Department of Fine Arts of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” Tetiana Zinenko.

At the opening of the exhibition the participants were greeted by the rector of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”, Professor Volodymyr Onyshchenko, and Head of the Department of Oil and Gas Engineering and Technology, Professor Branimir Tsvetkovych. Directors of educational and research institutes, deans of faculties, scientific and pedagogical staff and university staff joined taking in the arts.

“It is a pleasure to open the exhibition, where the works presented subtly combine bright colors, sincere emotions, youth and experience of artists, their unique vision of the world, which they delegate to us, the audience. The synergetic effect prevailing within the university encourages the penetration of perception of the world by creative people in the spheres of perception of the world of art by people with technical abilities, and the symbolic title of the exhibition “Feelings Extravaganza” shows that our common goal has been achieved.

The presented students’ works and paintings of our esteemed professor Branimir Tsvetkovych become a bright indicator for the combination of extremely high professional skills and artistic talent. At our university, anything is possible, since Polytechnic is multifaceted, multi-branch, and has strong traditions of classical education combined with noble education! Thank you for a living example of such a powerful collaboration, a nice creative gift on the eve of the New Year holidays, a great opportunity to once again touch the art and be inspired by talented people. I wish the authors inspiration, new interesting ideas and creative success! I invite everyone to the Center for Contemporary Art of Poltava Polytechnic!” – wished the rector of the university, Professor Volodymyr Onyshchenko.

According to Professor Branimir Tsvetkovich, the motto of his life is the well-known Latin phrase “Life is short, art is eternal”, which always motivates to master new and unknown.

“I traveled a lot – from Brazil to China, from south to north, to the Scandinavian countries, I worked, but always found time to paint during breaks. So, look for and take every opportunity you can to be alone with yourself and be who you are. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all those who joined the opening of the exhibition, whose interest in art is not fading,” – commented the professor.

Artists of Poltava Polytechnic – students Anastasiia Bovkun, Ruslana Borodai, Inna Honcharova, Olha Hlushchenko, Anna Yermak, Diana Matiazh, Valeriia Nosyk, Ruslana Polonyk, and Yelyzaveta Nazarenko presented their works to the audience. For talented students, such an experience has become a new step towards personal and professional growth, a measure of their own creative skills.

“When creating my own works, I draw inspiration from bright emotions and feelings; life energy accumulates in the time spent on each new picture. Sometimes the creation process takes from one day to a week or even a whole month, it usually depends on my inner state. Sometimes laziness wins, and sometimes I can impulsively make a painting overnight. In particular, I created the painting exhibited here in just one night. I was overwhelmed by such uncontrollable emotions, such a strong inspiration came that I could not help but paint, but splash on the canvas with bright colors this unique piece of my own world,” – says the future artist Yelyzaveta Nazarenko. The student considers famous Dutch artist Vincent Van Gogh, whose paintings and life path she has studied in great detail, to be her artistic inspiration.

Visitors viewed the exhibition and talked to the authors of the exhibited paintings, who willingly shared their own stories and told about the creation of individual works of art. The Center for Contemporary Art had an extraordinary festive atmosphere, which encouraged deep reflection and immersion in the world of art.

“Feelings Extravaganza” exploded with the emotions of a whole galaxy of talented authors who have something to say in contemporary art. Such a powerful mix, a mixture of moods and experiences could not go unnoticed and resulted in paintings that enchantingly reflect the reality around us. We look forward to new artistic masterpieces!” – summed up the head of the Department of Fine Arts Tetiana Zinenko.
