Be active for peace: the university holds a streetball tournament

As part of the implementation of the All-Ukrainian project "Be active for the sake of peace!" a 3-on-3 streetball tournament was held on the basis of the Poltava Polytechnic among schoolchildren and students. Polytechnic teams demonstrated their skill and became the leaders of the tournament.

Be active for peace: the university holds a streetball tournament

On August 16, 2022, a 3-on-3 streetball tournament among schoolchildren and student youth was held on the basis of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" as part of the "Be active for the sake of peace!" project.

7 teams competed, including: 4 teams of students of the university basketball section, 2 teams of athletes from the basketball department of the "Poltava Sports School of the Olympic Reserve No. 2" and a team of students of the "Poltava Secondary School I-III degrees No. 8 named after Panas Myrny of the Poltava City Council of Poltava region".

The panel of judges was represented by the President of the Poltava Regional Basketball Federation Serhii Loman and a graduate of the Poltava Polytechnic Ihor Buhaeivskyi.

According to the results of the competition, the winners became:

  • 1st place – team #1 of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic": Illia Bondar, Oleksandr Hromov, Dmytro Yefimov, Vladyslav Sharov;
  • 2nd place – the team of the "Poltava Sports School of the Olympic Reserve No. 2": Nikita Borodai, Maksym Kuzmin, Dmytro Maksymeik, Landar Denys;
  • 3rd place – team No. 3 of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic": Mykola Boichak, Vladyslav Yaremenko, Dmytro Vasylchenko, Oleksandr Kilinskyi.

The winning teams are awarded certificates and sweet gifts.

Previously, as part of the implementation of the All-Ukrainian project "Be active for the sake of peace!" a table tennis mini-tournament was held at the Poltava Polytechnic among student youth and children of IDPs.
