On August 10, 2022, a table tennis mini-tournament was held at the sports base of the Poltava Polytechnic among schoolchildren and students, including children of IDPs, as part of the implementation of the All-Ukrainian project "Be active for the sake of peace!" The project was initiated by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and is aimed at the organization of physical culture and recreational work in educational institutions during the summer holidays.
Participants of the tournament were students of Poltava Polytechnic, Poltava College of Oil and Gas, children of internally displaced persons who temporarily live in college dormitories and the university campus.
The winners of the competition were:
- 1st place – Maksym Omelianenko;
- 2nd place – Stepan Kalinichenko;
- 3rd place – Illia Khomiakov.
The winners and all participants of the mini-tournament received certificates and sweet gifts.
Earlier, the Polytechnic teacher was awarded the Citation of the mayor for her significant contribution to the development of physical culture and sports in Poltava, the Minister of Education and Science congratulated the students of the Polytechnic –the winners of the European University Games 2022.
