The team of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, with the support of the Institute for the Modernization of the Content of Education, as well as the Association of Digital and Innovative Education, decided to continue the systematic implementation of the All-Ukrainian career guidance and career building project “Choose your dream profession”, which was successfully piloted in 2021 and is one of the 11 priority projects of the Ministry of Education and Science for 2022.
“We are creating all the conditions for career guidance of schoolchildren of Ukraine, as human capital is the most valuable treasure of a strong and independent country. We took the best world experience as a basis and developed testing based on AI, which allows one to quickly and accurately determine the list of abilities and relevant professions individually for each child,” – said the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Serhii Shkarlet.
The all-Ukrainian project “Choose your dream profession” consists of 5 main steps:
- Career guidance testing based on AI.
- Consultations of career counselors using the “inverted call center” technology.
- Multimedia courses in the international SCORM format on labor market trends, resume writing, interview preparation, advice to parents and schoolchildren, choosing a dream profession, etc.
- Online tours to leading enterprises of Ukraine.
- Top 100 most relevant professions of today and the future.
“We carefully prepared the project, since we are aware of its importance and the price of a mistake when choosing one’s own future. The system of professional guidance testing based on AI has successfully passed scientific research at two psychology departments of leading universities and received positive conclusions from three specialized institutes of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine,” – explains Director of the Institute for Modernization of Education Content Yevhen Bazhenkov.
So far, more than 30,000 students of grades 7-11 from all regions of Ukraine have benefited from the project. This number will increase until all high school graduates are covered by the career guidance program.
