Today we will perform an honourable mission and the current officer epaulettes of junior lieutenants for the graduates of the Department of Military Training, who completed their training in the difficult conditions of the full cycle of the invasion of the aggressor country on the territory of our country.

In 2021 you entered military training in a peaceful country, but in modern conditions we all understand that our main task is to protect the integrity and freedom of our country. The Armed Forces of Ukraine give us the opportunity to study, to work, to acquire knowledge, to acquire a profession, to conduct practical military training in order, above all, to repel the enemy. Therefore, we should thank them for this opportunity and together bring our Victory closer!

This holiday will be special for you, because you have achieved another life goal and have become a worthy continuation of the glorious deeds of our predecessors. I am proud that when I was studying at university many years ago, I also underwent military training and military service to be ready to take up arms and go to defend the Motherland.

Dear friends, I wish that the knowledge and skills you have learnt from the specialists of the military training department will provide you with reliable means of how to save your own life and accurately defeat the hated enemy.

I sincerely thank our guests of honour, who often visit the university and by their example inspire our youth to selfless love for the country they were born in. Glory to the Armed Forces of Ukraine! Glory to Ukraine! " - greeted the rector, Professor Volodymyr Onyshchenko.

"It is a difficult time to receive officer's epaulettes, but I am confident in the knowledge imparted by the best teachers of the Department of Military Training, who daily put useful skills and abilities into the minds of their cadets, teaching them to love their country. I often repeat the phrase - the desire to never need the acquired skills, today it is a little different - to effectively apply the acquired knowledge and bring our Victory over the Russian aggressor closer. I wish you good luck, fortitude and peace! " - said the deputy head of the Poltava regional centre of manning and social security of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a participant of military operations Lieutenant Colonel Eduard Borodai.

On the powerful scientific and pedagogical base of the Poltava Polytechnic, which provides fundamental knowledge in all spheres of our country, in particular, the military, the head of Vitalii Hrytsaienko Poltava Lyceum with Enhanced Military-Physical Training from the Poltava Regional Council, Colonel-Reservist Oleksandr Balenko, stressed in his welcoming speech.
