On June 11, National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” held an international scientific and practical online conference for young scientists, students and post-graduates “The Economic Development of the Country and Its Social Stability”.

The participants of the conference were the representatives of Croatia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Poland, Latvia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Nigeria, Gabon and other countries. The total number of participants exceeded 400 people.

On behalf of Rector of Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic, Professor Volodymyr Onyshchenko, the Director of the Education and Research Institute of Finance, Economics and Management Iryna Chernysh greeted the participants at the opening of the conference, “In spite of the current situation in the world, young scientists managed to conduct analysis of the social-economic conditions, managing, security and law aspects of international activities with their experienced academic advisors.”

The successful cooperation between higher education institutions was mentioned by Mamedov Yagub, Doctor of Economics, Professor of Azerbaijan State University of Economics, “I would like to mention that Azerbaijan State University of Economics and Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic have built strategic cooperative relationships. We hope that, after the lockdown ends, the delegation of academic staff of your university will visit Baku. The scientists of the universities should continue the constructive, mutually beneficial cooperation. We are thankful for these regular scientific events of high quality.”

The representatives of ISMA University, the Rector of the university, Professor Denis Dyakon, Doctor of Economics, Professor Viktoria Ryashchenko, and Professor, Rector’s Advisor Ivars Linde, thanked for the cooperation and highly appreciated that the conference involved and motivated the young scientists.

Maia Chechelashvili, Doctor of Economics, Professor of Georgian Technical University (Tbilisi, Georgia), congratulated the participants and presented report on “Economical Production As a Way of Cutting Expenses”.

The conference was also joined by PhD in Economics, Associate Professor, Deputy Dean for Scientific and Educational Work of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University Volodymyr Purtov, who wished the participants of the conference a fruitful discussion, great results in searching for the solutions of the problems of economic theory and practice.

The greeting part was finished by Doctor of Economics, the Head of the Department of Economics, Associate Professor of the University North (Croatia) Ante Ronchevych, who thanked the Rector of Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic, Professor Volodymyr Onyshchenko for organizing the event, and spoke about his visit to our university.

The results of the scientific research were presented on the international conference also by the academic staff and post-graduates of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”. Among the presenters were PhD in Engineering, Associate Professor, the Head of the Board of Young Scientists Kseniia Chychulina, Assistant Professor, Independent Director of the Supervisory Board of Poltavabank Volodymyr Shcherbakov, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor of the Department of Managements and Logistics Iryna Amielina, PhD in economics, Associate Professor of the Department of Public Administration and Law Alla Hliebova, PhD-students Kateryna Chelembiienko, Anna Chervyak, Mila Kozyk and others.

The scientists worked in six following sections:

  • Section 1. Managing Social and Economic Processes In the Context of European Integration: Business, Region, Country;
  • Section 2. Financial Stability of National Economy: Problems and Perspectives;
  • Section 3. International Economic Activity of Ukraine: Modern Condition and Development Perspectives;
  • Section 4. Perspectives of Social and Economic Development of the Country In the Context of Regional Integration;
  • Section 5. Modern Management of Business Processes;
  • Section 6. Business as a Ground for Economic and Social Development: Concepts, Models, Strategies.

“More than 250 articles were submitted for the conference. Incredibly important problems of social and economic situation have already been gathered in a collection of conference reports, which will soon be ready for being published,” the Director of ERIFEM, Iryna Chernysh summarized.
