As part of the flashmob, which will be held on February 8, 2022 from 14:00 to 15:00, Ukraine's record on exercises performed by educators in Google virtual rooms will be registered. The event will be held on the Safer Internet Day within the cooperation between Google Ukraine and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
During the event the capabilities of the digital tools Google Workspace for Education and the "Childrens’ Guide to Online Safety" will be presented. Participants will also perform exercises in virtual rooms, receive recommendations on caution and responsibility when working on the Internet, learn how to use ready-made methodical solutions to develop information security skills, and receive a prepared case for implementation in educational activities.
Tasks for participants will be published on February 8 in Google Classes, which must be joined from 11:00 to 14:00 on World Safer Internet Day 2022. According to the results of the flashmob, each participant will receive a digital badge.
Stages of preparation of educational institutions:
- Until February 6 – determining of the number of participants and filling out the registration form from the institution;
- From February 1 to February 7 – getting acquainted with the algorithm of participation, testing of participants’ devices and software;
- From 11:00 to 14:00 on February 8 – each participant joins the corresponding Google Class by invitation link from the page with the distribution of virtual rooms;
- From 14:00 to 15:00 – watching the live broadcast and performing four exercises together with educators of Ukraine;
- At 15:00 – downloading of the electronic manual and digital badge of the flashmob participant.
