Entry to the master's degree: an additional session of the UPEE is underway at the Polytechnic

From August 4 to 11, there will be an additional session for master's degree applicants to take the Unified Professional Entrance Exam (UPEE).

The Poltava Polytechnic became the only point in the Poltava region for taking the UPEE by entrants to the master's degree who, for one reason or another, could not pass the entrance exams during the main session.

Entrants who have pre-registered for an additional session will be able to find out more detailed information about the date, time and place of the exams in their personal electronic account.

The testing will take place in one shift starting at 9:30 a.m. Entrants must have an examination sheet and an original ID document with them.

Information about the results on a scale of 100-200 points will be posted in the test participants' accounts until August 18.

Almost 2,000 places for master's studies are licensed at Poltava Polytechnic. One can enroll in 10 specialties without taking any exams – it is only needed to have an application and a motivational letter. Executive Secretary of the Admission Committee Bohdan Korobko told about the peculiarities of admission to the master's degree:

It should be recalled that for certain categories of registered applicants, an additional UEE/UPEE session will be held in the period from August 3 to 16, 2023. Those who eligible to take part in the program are:

  • Failed to register for participation in UEE/UPEE during the main registration period;
  • registered to participate in the main session, but for some valid reason could not participate in the test, could not start or complete the tasks of the entrance test.

Entrants had to submit an application for participation in an additional session to the relevant regional center for education quality assessment. Participants who did not appear to participate in the main session of the UEE/UPEE must submit a document confirming the reason for the absence together with the application.

Participants who took part in the main session, but there was a violation of the procedure, had to submit an application to the regulatory commission of the regional center on the day of the entrance exams.

Persons who could not complete the tasks, or did not appear to participate in the main session, had to submit an application within three calendar days from the day of the main session of the UEE/UPEE.

In the case of not attending the main session due to illness, one of the documents specified in paragraphs 2-5, 8, 9 of subparagraph 1 of paragraph 2 of the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine should be submitted to the regional center together with the application.

The decision to admit an applicant to participate in an additional session is made by the Regulatory Commission at the Regional Center for Educational Quality Assessment.

A person may appeal the decision of the regulatory commission regarding the refusal of admission to participate in the second session, adopted in respect of him/her, by submitting an application to the Appeal Commission no later than three working days (taking into account the time required for its delivery) from the moment of posting the decision of the Regulatory Commission under appeal on the website of the relevant regional center.

Please note that the deadline for submitting electronic applications for master's degree programs is August 21, 2023.
