Entry without bribes: Poltava Polytechnic supports the anti-corruption campaign

National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" joined the anti-corruption campaign regarding this year's admission to Ukrainian higher education institutions, created by the Association of Legal Clinics of Ukraine and the National Agency for Prevention of Corruption. Entrants can address the Commissioner for Anti-Corruption Activities of Poltava Polytechnic with problematic issues, learn about their rights in a special video and use the "Entry without bribes" chatbot.

Entry without bribes: Poltava Polytechnic supports the anti-corruption campaign

To ensure an open and transparent system of the admission campaign – 2022, the Association of Legal Clinics of Ukraine in cooperation with the National Agency for Prevention of Corruption with the support of the EU Anti-Corruption Initiative (EUACI) – the leading anti-corruption program in Ukraine, financed by the EU, co-financed and implemented by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark, has created an educational video and an informational chatbot "Entry without bribes", which will become effective tools in counteracting corruption and contribute to increasing the legal awareness and anti-corruption culture of the participants of the admission campaign.

National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" comprehensively supports the anti-corruption campaign, which guarantees honesty and transparency for entrants and their parents.

In recent years, Poltava Polytechnic has established an active countering corruption; close interaction and fruitful communication among representatives of student self-government, directors of educational and research institutes and deans of faculties, teachers and curators of academic student groups; a number of measures have been taken to identify and report corruption facts with the participation of Dmytro Pavlukhin, the university's anti-corruption commissioner. As a reminder, students of the Poltava Polytechnic were told how to prevent and timely report corruption offenses.

The "Entry without bribes" chatbot offered by the developers acts as a virtual assistant during the admission campaign for applicants and authorized persons for the prevention and detection of corruption. The educational assistant platform is on Telegram and fully implements the functionality of the mobile application, which makes it easy to use.

How to get started with a chatbot?

To get started, it is enough to enter the name "Entry without bribes" (@VstupBezHabarivBot) in the search of the Telegram network and, after entering the program, press the "START" button.

Next, one should choose the role of the Anti-corruption Commissioner of the higher education institution or the applicant and the sections, the questions of which are of interest or need for clarification.

At any step, everyone will be able to take a step back or to the main menu. Thus, every user who connects the chatbot will be able to receive the most timely and relevant information about the admission campaign.

What is the benefit of a chatbot for entrants?

The chatbot will give you the opportunity to learn about:

  • entrant's rights;
  • stages of the admission campaign with the possibility of connecting the notification function;
  • entrant's electronic account;
  • a list of contact details of any educational institution of Ukraine.

Also, entrants have the opportunity to receive up-to-date information about possible ways to report discovered facts of corruption or corruption-related offenses/other violations of the entrant's rights, about where and how to properly file reports of corruption to educational institutions, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Education Ombudsman or the National Police of Ukraine.

Previously, entrants were advised not to give personal data to anyone for registration and access to the electronic account.
