The NEW STAR Euroclub was launched at the Department of International Economic Relations and Tourism of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”. Students majoring in 292 International Economic Relations as well as 242 Tourism and Recreation of the University, who expressed their desire to help develop youth diplomacy as a part of the civic and patriotic education of students, became the members of the Euroclub.
The activities of the Euroclub are also aimed at engaging young people in the process of creating a positive image of Ukraine in the international arena, promoting our country’s European integration processes and European values, forming a sense of European unity, tolerance and other features of a modern European person. The main directions of its activity are coordinated by the scientists of the Department of International Economic Relations and Tourism of the Educational and Research Institute of Finance, Economics, Management and Law of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” – Head of the Department of International Economic Relations and Tourism, Doctor of Economics, Professor Iryna Chychkalo-Kondratska and Doctor of Philosophy Iryna Levchenko, who became a graduate of EU Study Days in 2021 and constantly participates in the events of the European Union.
During the introductory meeting, the participants were informed about the conditions for the establishment of the Euroclub, its main activities and prospects for participation in various events together with EU representatives and ambassadors to Ukraine. It should be noted that the establishment of Euroclub at the Department of International Economic Relations and Tourism of Poltava Polytechnic was a response to the proposal of EU Study Days coordinators to increase the number of representative offices in Ukraine.
Young professionals also learned about the wide opportunities available to Euroclub members:
- be the first to learn about current competitions of the Delegation of the European Union aimed at the youth audience;
- receive wonderful gifts and souvenirs from the European Union for successful completion of quizzes or competitions announced by the EU Delegation to Ukraine;
- Euroclub members gain experience in organising information campaigns, spreading knowledge about European integration processes and the principles of the European Union;
- Euroclub members develop leadership skills and the ability to make responsible decisions. In general, young people are being prepared for life in a united Europe.
The academic staff and students of the Department of International Economic Relations and Tourism of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” invite the motivated young people to become members of the Euroclub “NEW STAR”.

It should be noted that the EU Delegation to Ukraine is expanding its borders, so new networks are opening every year, traditionally led by EU Study Days alumni. The creation of a Euroclub is an opportunity to establish new communications and network with like-minded people, and for students it is a great opportunity to attend online and offline meetings with EU ambassadors to Ukraine. Euroclub members have advantages when applying for various EU study and internship programmes.
It should be recalled that students are invited to take part in the scholarship programme from the Republic of Korea, and schoolchildren, students and young scientists are invited to take part in the contest “Legal Education of the Future”.
Recently, the Fulbright Academic Exchange Programme was presented at Polytechnic, schoolchildren of Poltava community visited Polytechnic and learned how to choose modern professions, and a traditional student scientific and artistic round table was held on the occasion of the International Mother Language Day.
Earlier, Polytechnic scientists had successfully completed an internship at an outsourcing company, and for the second time, Polytechnic became a participant of an all-Ukrainian project aimed at improving the quality of educational services.
