From April 11 to 14, 2023, the Ukrainian Youth Triathlon Championship was held in the city of Lviv. Experienced athletes from different parts of our country – from the cities of Donetsk, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Lviv, Cherkasy, Poltava, Kyiv and Zhytomyr – competed for the championship and championship titles during several intense days. The youth, representing 22 men's and 8 women's teams, confidently overcame a three-hundred-meter distance in the pool, completed an eight-kilometer bicycle race on open ground and a two-kilometer running distance in an indoor arena.
A student of group 102-FS of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" Yehor Mychko won the silver medal at the Ukrainian Triathlon Championship, taking second place among youth (U23). As a result of the competition, the treasury of sports trophies of the picked team of the Poltava region was replenished with 5 gold and 2 silver medals. The Poltava athletes became the best among children, male and female juniors, young men and cadets, demonstrating high results of daily intense training and excellent physical form. Coach Pavlo Kalinichenko prepared the triathletes for the competition.
All winners and prize-winners of the competition were awarded certificates of honor as well as gold, silver and bronze medals.

Previously, Polytechnic student Volodymyr Lytvyn became a silver medalist of the Ukrainian Armwrestling Championship among youth, adults and veterans, second-year student Mykhailo Serdiuk became a silver medalist of the Muay Thai Boxing Championship of Ukraine among adults, a FPCS student Ruslana Symonenko became a four-time gold medalist of the Ukrainian Armwrestling Championship among youth, adults and veterans, Polytechnic student Valeriia Koniukhova became a two-time champion of Ukraine in powerlifting among girls, and Polytechnic athletes became bronze medalists of the Ukrainian Women's Futsal Championship.
