On May 13-14, in the city of Poltava, on the territory of the “Olympic Hopes” educational and sports base, the competition of the Rowing Championships of Ukraine on the “Dragon” boats was held. More than 300 athletes from Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Volyn, Cherkasy, Dnipropetrovsk and Lviv regions competed for the championship.
A student of group 401-FS of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”, Candidate for Master of Sports of Ukraine in rowing on “Dragon” boats, multiple champion of Ukraine, silver medallist of the World Rowing Championships on the “Dragon” boats Kateryna Petrenko became the owner of a full set of Rowing Championships of Ukraine on the “Dragon” boats awards, winning four medals at distances of 200 and 2000 meters.
The Poltava Polytechnic athlete won the gold medal at a distance of 200 meters mix.
Kateryna Petrenko won silver awards at the following distances:
- 2000 meters mixed;
- 2000 meters women.
Polytechnic student became the bronze medallist of the competition in the distance of 200 meters among women.

Previously, Polytechnic cheerleaders became the gold medallists of the XVII Championship of Ukraine among pupils and students, Polytechnic female athletes became the gold and silver medallists of the European Championship in powerlifting, and Polytechnic athletes became the gold and bronze medallists of the Championship of Ukraine among students of HEI in weightlifting as well as the absolute champions of the Cup of Ukraine in paraswimming.
