Within the framework of the scientific and educational cooperation between the Department of Finance, Banking and Taxation of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” and the university’s stakeholder, JSC “Sense Bank”, the first-level (bachelor’s) students, who are studying for the key professional competences within the study programmes “Finance, Banking and Insurance” and “IT Finance”, attended a series of practical classes at the branch of JSC “Sense Bank”.
The practice-oriented approach to education provides ample opportunities for high-quality professional training of bachelor’s degree students majoring in 072 Finance, Banking, Insurance and Stock Exchange, so on 19 April and 1 May, the first-year students attended practical classes in the discipline “Business Communications and Ethics of Banking” at the branch of the banking institution.
Under the guidance of Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Finance, Banking and Taxation of Poltava Polytechnic Oksana Vovchenko, future professionals familiarised themselves with the main stages of the communication process: getting to know each other, identifying the client’s needs, presenting products, dealing with objections, establishing contact and saying goodbye.
The students actively asked questions and discussed the principles of office etiquette, the norms of behaviour of a manager with subordinates, the rules of individual workplace etiquette, as well as the confidentiality and security of office documents.
According to Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Finance, Banking and Taxation of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” Oksana Vovchenko, educational visits and engaging in fruitful communication with the employees of a financial institution are a unique opportunity for future specialists to get acquainted with effective practical cases of the daily activities of the employees of a banking institution and to gain and expand their own practical experience.

It should be recalled that, earlier the students of finance got acquainted with the current areas of banking business organisation at the branches of JSC “Sense Bank”.
Recently, Polytechnic received an award from the National Bank of Ukraine for its active participation in the Global Money Week.
