On July, 7, the signing of the Agreement on Cooperation between the Council of Rectors of Kyiv Higher Education Institutions Center (the Head of which is the Rector of Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture, Professor Petro Kulikov) and the Council of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions of Poltava Region (the Head of which is the Rector of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”, Professor Volodymyr Onyshchenko) took place.
An equivalent agreement was signed with the Council of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions of Odesa Region (the Head of which is the Rector of Odesa State Environmental University, Professor Serhii Stepanenko).
The agreements covered cooperation in educational and scientific activity and joined development of higher education.
“The main goal of our cooperation is to promote improvements in the quality of specialists’ training and higher education, ensure independence of higher education institutions, development and coordination of rectors’ connections in educational, scientific, economic, legal, humanitarian and other fields of activity, as well as to satisfy and protect the legal, social, economic, creative and other mutual interests and enhance the role of higher education institutions in the social life of the country.
“Another important task for all the responsible rectors, as for me, is to make for the protection of the priorities of education, science and culture as determining factors of social, economic and spiritual development of the country and the society. The leading universities of such regions as Kyiv, Poltava and Odesa have a huge potential and our mutual academic exchange, partnership in scientific projects etc will have a positive impact on both the training of professional specialists, and on the economics of the regions,” Volodymyr Onyshchenko commented.
