According to the Department of Health Protection of Poltava RMA, Poltava Region is currently in 2nd place in the country in terms of morbidity; new cases are recorded in all 60 communities of the region. In the region, there is also a seasonal increase in cases of influenza and ARI, but the coronavirus disease prevails.
Director of the Department of Health Protection of Poltava Regional State Administration Viktor Lysak emphasized that personal hygiene and vaccination are ways to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
“This is the second time this semester that a mass organized vaccination with a booster dose against coronavirus is taking place on the basis of a mobile vaccination center at the university. We would like to thank the medical staff of the Center of Primary Health Care №1 for taking care of the staff of the Poltava Polytechnic. Almost a hundred employees and fifty students received vaccinations,” – commented the Department of Labor Protection.
Three types of vaccines were available in sufficient quantities for vaccination.
It should be recalled that at the end of September, more than a hundred Polytechnic employees received a booster vaccination against the coronavirus.
Previously, several rounds of vaccination were conducted at the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” so that the staff and students could be immunized in a timely manner and without queues. In the last academic year, Poltava Polytechnic achieved the highest level of scientific and pedagogical workers’ vaccination. Also, our students became part of the “Diia” support team and volunteered at mass vaccination centers.
